POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for effectively selling Preventive Maintenance contracts for generator sets and fire pumps in the Industrial, Commercial, Medical, Higher Education, Government/Municipal markets, as well as other markets as assigned in a specific AOR (Area of Responsibility) to achieve maximum sales profitability and growth.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Use a consultative sales approach to sell Preventive Maintenance contracts for emergency generators and fire pumps. Analyze customer needs and interests and determine how company products and services can best meet their needs.
  • Prospect new customers, maintain current business relationships and accounts.
  • Develop and expand market presence for ADDA in the New England AOR so that ADDA is the preferred service provider.
  • Develop and maintain a database on prospective customers and existing accounts.
  • Achieve sales goals and forecasts, as established by the department and the organization.
  • Establish, maintain and develop business, social and networking relationships with individuals within the power generation industry in order to generate and maintain a positive business image for the organization within the industry.
  • Expedite the resolution of customer problems, issues or complaints.
  • Attend sales and trade meetings and read related publications to obtain current market condition information, business trends, and industry developments.
  • Provide management oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, market situation, competitive activities, and potential for PM contracts or O&A opportunities.
  • Conduct all business transactions in an ethical manner.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED), Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Experience in the power generation industry or outside sales is preferred. Willing to accept recent college graduates in lieu of sales or power generation experience and willing to train.
