SUMMARY

This position is primarily responsible for leading, motivating and supporting regional sales force in the promotion and sale of DaVinci Roofscapes products to targeted architects, contractors and distributors by performing the following duties. Territory-Western Region (West of the Mississippi, excluding Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas, and New Mexico).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Conducts joint travel with outside sales personnel to assure success in individual markets.

Conducts various training events to distributors, contractors, and architects.

Trains all outside personnel to deliver DaVinci training to distributors, contractors, and architects.

Maintains a pipeline of future business by adding territory opportunities to CRM opportunity manager on a regular basis.

Leads outside sales team to:

  • Meet or exceed prospecting and architectural activity goals.
  • In the development and growth of a contractor network (DMC Program)

Hires and terminates outside salespeople or Independent manufactures Representatives (IMRs).

Maintains long term territory plans

Provides annual sales forecasts.

Plays major role in National Sales Meeting by assisting in planning, facilitating, and presenting.

Communicates market information, such as competitive information and market preferences

Develops and implements strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals.

Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly.

Directs channel development activity and coordinates sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals.

Advises dealers, distributors, and clients concerning sales and advertising techniques.

Assigns sales territory to sales representatives.

Represents company at trade association meetings to promote product.

Delivers sales presentations to key clients in coordination with sales representatives.

Meets with key clients, assisting sales representative with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals.

Coordinates liaison between sales department and other sales related units.

Analyzes and controls expenditures of division to conform to budgetary requirements.

Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.

Monitors and evaluates the activities and products of the competition.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Directly supervises 1-10 employees in the Sales Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
