We are looking for an eager, self-starter with a passion for entrepreneurship to join our sales team. Someone with a “hunter” mentality....a person who is unafraid to cultivate new business opportunities, nurture existing relationships and grow a local business within the New York City community. We need a self-sufficient, team-player who will roll up their sleeves and persuade the public that The Junkluggers is the "Caring Alternative to Traditional Junk Removal."

You should be comfortable with traveling throughout the city to meet clients in person. Have a highly results-oriented attitude and want to win. About Us:

The Junkluggers is a premium, eco-friendly furniture and junk removal company. We're committed to enhancing lives, communities and the environment by keeping items out of landfills through donating, reuse and recycling. We partner with local charity partners and other 501c3's to donate items on our clients behalf.

About You:

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Conducting as needed, onsite evaluations and walk-throughs for new and existing customers looking to hire our service(s)
  • Follow up with, consult, and schedule customers in the pipeline for their furniture removal appointments
  • Send out proposals for furniture removal projects and negotiate when needed
  • Work with local dispatch & operations team(s) to ensure successful execution of customer appointment(s)
  • Prospect and hunt for new business via phone, email, networking and other forms of technology on a daily/weekly basis
  • Update and utilize CRM for tracking customer relationships and conversations
  • Visiting local businesses to meet with potential customers
  • Maintain, build and grow existing relationships within the business
  • Regularly supporting and working with the Director of Sales
  • Conduct, monitor and update weekly sales/marketing reports
  • Brainstorm potential sales and marketing partnership ideas
  • Other office and related fieldwork as it relates to the role

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience with outside or inside sales (outside sales preferred)
  • 2+ years with a proven track record of new business development
  • 2+ years of experience with phone sales and or customer service (phone experience required)
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • A strong degree of personal organization and accountability
  • High Degree of Technical skills
  • Strong approach to time management
  • Able to manage and execute with a high degree of productivity on a daily basis
  • Strong client relations mentality, looking for someone who can nurture positive B2B & B2C relationships
  • Ability to be creative in prospecting, lead generation and work with minimal daily supervision
  • Being persistently tenacious in your approach to grow the business
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with Google Suite applications
  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience)
  • Must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week

  • Base Salary + Commission + Other Incentives
