Responsibilities:

A leader in multi-state senior living operations is looking for a regional director of sales to oversee multiple markets. The Regional Director, Sales oversees communities in multiple markets to help drive occupancy, implement sales and marketing strategies, train new community sales leaders and associates and assists in being a sales ambassador for all the communities in the portfolio. Responsibilities will include:

  • Overall responsibility to ensure the following are achieved at each assigned community:
    Work within established community budgets, ensure that each Sales team is achieving or exceeding projected occupancy and operating within budgetary guidelines.
  • Develop robust waiting list of future Residents.
  • Develop outside referral sources through sales calls on an ongoing basis.
  • Personally shop competitor communities in local primary marketing areas (PMAs) supported and work with community sales team to strategically position their community and sell against the competition.
  • Conduct on site sales in the absence of a salesperson or to help boost sales when a community census drops or is in lease up whenever possible.
  • Together with ED and/or community Sales Director:
    Interview Sales team candidates and provide recommendations and critical insight to ED for hiring decisions.
  • Orient and onboard new sales team members, including training on sales techniques, sales tools and platforms.
  • Establish performance goals and monitor performance on a continual basis for all sales team members.
  • Conduct ongoing mentoring and onsite training for sales team
    Work with the ED to understand the community sales performance and how to direct sales staff effectively.
  • Oversee all assigned communities’ reports and monitor data entry of lead information into appropriate systems
  • Monitor call tracking, video content, social media, sales database notes and metrics for your region and use information to improve lead generation/management and sales.
  • Work with Community’s Sales staff and ED to maintain a quarterly competitive analysis to track current rates, availability, and market conditions to develop strategic sales interventions.
  • Continuously monitor and appropriately address the resident population for shifts in preferences, values and attitudes using personal interviews, approved surveys, resident committees, suggestion boxes, etc.
  • Using all appropriate data, ensure production and execution of outreach and external business development plans, outlining events and sales strategies.
  • Conduct weekly board calls with each Executive Director and sales team
    Consult with and advise each Executive Director for the purposes of eliminating operating deficiencies.
  • Perform such tasks as may be required from time to time by the management of the community, National Director of Sales or the Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

Requirements:

  • Regional/multi-property leadership experience required
  • Senior Living or Healthcare sales experience required
  • Strong system/software skills including CRM, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook.
  • Referral source-based marketing and long and short cycle sales experience
  • Exceptional ability to analyze sales/market data and trends and apply that information for improved sales
  • Typically, 60% travel but may fluctuate. Flexibility required
  • Must be able to communicate and function well in an interdisciplinary team
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
  • Ability to interact effectively and professionally in person, on the phone and via email
  • Exceptional time management, self-sufficiency, and resourcefulness
  • Self-motivated, organized, and professional. Ability to work independently with minimum supervision, problem solving, conflict management and budgeting.
  • Possess excellent leadership skills
