The Associate Director, Market Access Insights & Analytics is responsible for planning, generating, evaluating, and presenting insights and analytics to inform commercial growth opportunities and tactics relating to all aspects of market access.


    • Use in-depth understanding of market access dynamics to present impact of trade/channel relationships, reimbursement/pt. access landscape, and customer contract development and performance.
    • Apply strong analytical, problem solving, and quantitative skills, to drive actionable insights from different data sets, including 3PL, data management platforms, trade reports, rebate/payment trackers, and database query tools.
    • Own the accurate execution of Market Access contracts including: template development, language negotiation, approval, completion, and monitoring.
    • Understand and interpret contract language and regulations as it relates to contract setup and maintenance to ensure accurate calculation of customer reimbursements. Work with Finance and Legal teams to obtain deal approval and meet all compliance standards.
    • Develop, maintain, and utilize customer relationship management databases to track sales and contract-related performance benchmarks/KPIs, with accurate, complete and up-to-date data for internal stakeholders.
    • Own revenue contract management and optimization analyses, dashboards and KPIs. Regularly communicate trends and insights to Senior Leadership for business planning purposes.
    • Support Payor Strategy planning through development and execution of a reimbursement monitoring platform, landscape analysis, and impact guidance to inform commercial sales execution.
    • Other duties as assigned.


    • Minimum bachelor’s degree required, MBA and/or MPH preferred.
    • Experience: 7+ years of related experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech industry or related life sciences consulting field, preferably in market access/pricing and reimbursement, market planning/data analytics, and/or marketing.
    • 5+ years of experience in insights or analytics, with a preferred focus in customer contract performance or pharmaceutical channels/distribution.
    • Contract language experience.
    • Logic and strong mathematical skills.
    • Highly proficient in Excel, Word & Power Point
    • Ability to manage workload with limited guidance and support in prioritization; effective managing to expectations and ability to scope/prioritize work.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills, presentation and influencing skills.
    • Strong collaboration, communication, and project management skills.
    • Key Competencies: Accountability, Business Acumen, Executional Effectiveness, Business Compliance
    • Limited Travel (~10%-20%)
    • Ability to sit and stand for prolonged periods; walk; reach with arms and hands; lift and move small objects; and use hands to keyboard and perform other office related tasks including repetitive movement of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
    • Full COVID-19 vaccination is required for this position.

Pay Range

    • The estimated salary range for this position is $178,000 to $214,000. Final pay determinations may depend on various factors, including, but not limited to experience level, education, geographical location, knowledge, skills, and abilities. The total compensation package for this position also includes other compensation elements such as stock equity awards and participation in our in the Company’s discretionary annual bonus program. Dynavax also offers a full range of health and welfare insurance benefits, 401(k) company match, and paid time off benefits, including 17 paid holidays in 2023.
