Summary:
The position of Unbranded Wholesale – Specialist is a key member of the Account Management team that covers a specific region of our operating footprint. This position requires strong business acumen, excellent communication, relationship-building skills, and attention to detail. A successful candidate would be self-motivated, driven and committed to process excellence. This includes the ability to be self-sufficient while learning various current and future process-related and financial reporting systems to understand the full life-cycle of a customer.
This position is primarily responsible for optimizing our current terminal / customer volume and margin for their assigned geography, while utilizing our competitive advantages and supply strength to grow our customer base and EBITDA performance. Additionally, this position would be responsible for any problem resolution and maintaining a strong customer relationship. Lastly, it will be essential for this candidate to ensure a smooth transition of new customers the candidate identifies and brings into his/her existing geography. Position may be based in Dallas, TX or Birmingham, AL depending on the location of the successful candidate.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage Salesforce inputs, ensure proper customer and deal setup throughout various internal systems.
  • Manage account resolution for issues that may arise which may adversely impact our customers.
  • Develop sales strategy for specific geography to deliver growth objectives.
  • Manage all administrative functions relating to relationship between Sunoco and its customers.
  • Track performance, provide feedback and administer monthly/ quarterly/ annual review of customer and terminal performance.
  • Provide superior customer service by responding efficiently and in a timely manner.
  • Manage sales meeting with customers, supporting internal departments.
  • Provide on-going communication to senior management on competitive information, pricing and relevant market changes.
  • Positively interface with supporting departments (Supply, Trading, Pricing, Legal, General Accounting, Credit, Human Resources, Marketing Services).
  • Work collectively with others and demonstrate the ability to be a strong team player and become a key contributor to Region Manager’s broader team.

Requirements:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience. A degree in Business is preferred
  • 2 - 5 years of experience
  • Some prior work experience, specifically in the petroleum industry, preferred.
  • Ability to travel approx. 25% of the time with overnight stays required.
  • Complete all travel and expense related reports.
  • Must be flexible to work evenings and weekends.
  • Proficient use of financial systems and analysis tools, including, but not limited to Microsoft Excel

Working Conditions:

  • Usually, normal office working conditions.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
  • Overnight travel is required.
  • Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
