Regional Sales Manager
East Region

The successful Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is an enthusiastic individual experienced in leading change and with a proven track record of positive business results and strong business acumen. This person must show strong knowledge of the sales business processes and demonstrate excellent customer relationship skills while utilizing data to shape decisions. The ability to lead groups with or without direct authority is essential.

The role will be responsible for leading several Territory Sales Managers (TSM) and ensuring they have the tools and skills to meet or exceed established corporate goals in regards to territory sales and growing sales profitably. As a RSM, you will be expected to travel extensively within your assigned geographic territory to work with your TSM team as well as to call on direct ownership accounts. The RSM role for the East Region reports directly to the East Region Director of Sales.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
  • Meet or exceed sales and price margin goals established for the region
  • Develop and execute sales initiatives across multiple product lines with a strong understanding of what drives profitability and will identify, develop and maintain relationships with major accounts and develop new accounts
  • Make sales calls on direct ownership accounts to help secure business and improve profitability; support TSMs with sales calls on daily basis
  • Establish and grow key customer relationships with existing customer base and prospective accounts. Equally important will be to network and build strong relationships within company (CSW) with executive leadership.
  • Train, develop, mentor - drive increased performance and accountability with direct reports
  • Assist in establishing and meeting service, quality and profitability goals.
  • Know the competitors in-depth and how best to position our clients offer against them
  • Drive a culture that will respond quickly to resolve customer issues or problems
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Masters degree preferred or commensurate experience
  • Sales management experience preferred;
  • Experience in the development and execution of strategically defined sales programs that have shown profitable growth in different market environments
  • Have a solid record of experience in a metals, fabrication or metals distribution environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, meeting facilitation, presentation and team building skills.
  • Ability to effectively use Microsoft office suite and learn other tools as needed
  • Experience with training very helpful, including the use of Webinars.
  • Individual must reside in the Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky or Tennessee area of the East region.
