Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Interfacing with the operations department on SIOP planning; providing projected timeline for specific programs that will influence production / run rates; educating and communicating new programs to all internal departments to assure comprehensive understanding of objective, tactics and projected outcome of programs
  • Assisting with coordination of promotional material development as defined in annual marketing / business plan and as directed by management team; coordinating with in-house design services and external resources and coordinating distribution of materials to target audience and process invoicing to assure proper budget capture
  • Develop value-based pricing strategies, that are supportive of optimized price and channel development. Use these pricing models to set promotional price points.
  • Develop channel development plans including required Toter support such as stock, sales growth, and potential benefits such as tiered price points, rebates, etc.
  • Develop a coordinated, campaign style promotion calendar coordinated with the channel development and value-based pricing strategy
  • Develop materials for line reviews and other critical customer meetings to drive strategy
  • Working with the sales team, prepare long range monthly sales forecasts of channel marketing activities and manage weekly coordination points with the Toter team. Working with the Retail PRO team, develop and execute gap closing activities to ensure budget delivery.
  • Participate in strategic customer relationship, management and evolution
  • Optimize ROI including directing investments in marketing, promotions, co-op investments and other programs
  • Develop long range strategic and tactical action plans with budget, return and alignment with overall strategy. Present these plans to the senior leadership team
  • Understand and leverage "best practices" in development, execution and assessment of all CM activities

Requirements

  • Our ideal candidate would have recent experience with Retail hardware sales (B to B) and professional sales (B to C) that go to both contractors and DIY
  • Knowledge of product launch, VOC, channel marketing, and expertise in value based pricing and demand generation strategies.
  • Experience building and presenting business case and for promos
  • The ability to quickly build relationships and garner attention in person and on the phone.
  • Strong working knowledge with tools like Salesforce & MS office.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills.
  • Must be comfortable with working independently and able to work cross-functionally.
  • Travel to channel partner sites, customers, and events as required.
  • Knowledge of the waste industry and recent related sales experience is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Sales, Business Administration
  • 10+ years in Sales or Marketing
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills; ability to organize and present technical material in an easily understood manner both verbally and written
  • Highly proficient in MS Office Suite, web browser functionality, CRM applications, etc.
  • High energy, positive attitude, with the ability to think creatively and handle multiple priorities
  • Analytical thinker able to learn new tools and software quickly
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to develop and grow long-term client relationships.
