The Inside Sales Professional manages a portfolio of accounts to achieve long-term success and drive business growth. This role conducts virtual meetings to develop positive relationships, supports customers’ needs and generates new sales using existing and potential customer networks. (This is meant to be a guide. Duties may vary dependent upon management.)



Essential Position Functions:

  • Manage and grow existing accounts, reengage former spending customers and generate new customer acquisition.
  • Take ownership of a valuable portfolio of existing customers, focusing on building, and strengthening relationships, to understand their needs and maximize their potential.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities, penetrate existing accounts, retain, and grow existing business.
  • Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement to meet or exceed sales quotas.
  • Identify and build relationships with prospective customers.
  • Engage lead opportunities through lead sources and self-generated opportunities, including strategic self-initiated inbound/outbound call activities.
  • Cross-Sell: Conduct outbound calls to existing customers who fit a profile of customers who could benefit and/or have need for additional Mac products and services.
  • Provide unmatched customer service by communicating products and services that address their needs; provide product details, pricing and insights on delivery and service; and sharing the Mac Papers + Packaging brand difference.
  • Build and sustain long lasting relationships with new and existing customers by communicating frequently with follow-up mindful of customer retention.
  • Partner with credit team and/or management to open and establish new accounts.
  • Review and analyze reporting, including special order requests, customer bid files, and sales/gross profit margin data.
  • Work effectively and collaboratively with customer service, operations departments, location management and sales teams.
  • Adhere to the prescribed sales process in offering Mac products and services for sale.
  • Handle inbound marketing campaigns designed to grow business and rewards for achievements.
  • Perform administrative duties, such as budgeting, reporting or other standard operating procedures as required.
  • Stay informed of market conditions, product innovations and the competitive landscape.
  • Other duties as required.

Education and/or Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1 – 2 years sales and/or customer service experience required.
  • Previous experience in outbound call center or related sales position preferred.
  • Proven track record delivering on defined sales objectives required.
  • Previous Inside Sales experience preferred.
  • Experience delivering client-focused solutions for customer needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and act as a self-starter: competitive, self-confident and growth oriented.
  • Ability to effectively utilize technology for order entry systems and responding to customers through email, text, voicemail, CRM, and new technologies.
  • Ability to engage with others across all levels of the organization.
  • Must have intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) skills.
  • Must be able to efficiently use a Windows-based computer.
  • Ability to prioritize and complete assignments accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Able to effectively handle multiple priorities with a strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, oral, and written communications skills.
  • Must be able to work alone, and with a team.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
