Manufacturing Sales Representative in Charlotte, NC
Norkol Inc is looking to build our sales team dedicated to our line of fine paper, paperboard, and packaging materials. The primary focus of this role is to identify and develop sales with new customers. This includes making phone calls and customer visits to develop relationships, understand customer challenges and develop solutions for long lasting partnerships.
Norkol is a 55-year-old, family-owned paper merchant, converter, and distributor with deep relationships with paper and packaging mills around the world. We pride ourselves on our reliability, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit, fueled by a desire to improve, adapt and grow with our ever-changing market.
Who We’re Looking for:
A representative with a personable and outgoing demeanor, willing to reach out to new contacts without hesitation. A candidate with a natural curiosity to support development and understanding of new markets and opportunities. Someone self-motivated, willing to ask questions to expedite the onboarding process.
Key Activities
- Actively pursue new customer relationships through meaningful phone conversations and customer visits.
- Listen, learn, and understand customer needs.
- Develop a deep understanding of paper and packaging grades by asking questions of our experienced sales leadership team.
- Research new markets to identify targets using internet research, attendance at industry conferences and variable industry research.
- Maintain and share regular call reports to monitor ongoing sales pursuits.
- Develop strong client relationships over time that provides an established client base.
- Ability to learn quickly in order to develop and provide sales quotations for new and ongoing business.
Work Experience
Ability to demonstrate curiosity and energetic passion for learning, tackling new challenges and developing strong relationships.
Paper knowledge preferred, not required.

Must be proactive and persistent in pursuit of new customers and markets.

Must demonstrate ability to cultivate relationships through strong interpersonal skills.

Successful candidates in this role will likely require some travel.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $70,000.00 per year
