The Senior Manager of Sales FP&A is essential in driving prioritization and optimization of sales force expansion and investment. The Senior Manager of Sales FP&A will be a key business partner to sales leadership and will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure appropriate objectives and priorities are set and performance is measured. As a global FP&A leader the person in this role will also drive planning and analysis for ATEC’s international sales force expansion. This role will lead a team of at least two direct reports and will report to the VP of Global FP&A.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinates with sales leadership, sales ops and other stakeholders to lead efficient and accurate sales force reporting initiatives, including development of new reporting tools as needed
  • Drive new and novel Power BI business intelligence reporting and analysis initiatives that impact and influence business decision making
  • Works with sales leadership and operations leadership to drive improved capital and inventory asset utilization in the field
  • Provide deal support and modeling for EOS capital unit placements including financing and pull-through assumptions; coordinate with sales and accounting to ensure proper revenue recognition
  • Assists sales ops and sales management with assessing new territories and distributors, building business cases and tracking performance of competitive hires
  • Responsible for modeling profitability and tracking execution of rebate programs; ensure proper accounting treatment of all such arrangements
  • Conduct pricing analysis and review and approve GPO fees
  • Provides input to senior leadership in the development and administration of sales compensation, including long-term planning and target setting of overall compensation levels
  • Works closely with accounting, sales ops and payroll to oversee the calculation and payment of commissions and sales management bonuses; establish rules, policies and procedures associated with sales compensation
  • Facilitates and manages forecasting and budgeting processes and serves as primary point of contact for sales management and field sales operating expense forecasts and budget
  • Partners with sales leadership and sales ops on monthly forecasting for the sales and operations planning process—helps consolidate deliverables and reconcile outputs with finance and operations
  • Supports sales management with sales presentations to senior management and board
  • Provide data support and ad hoc analysis to sales leadership

  • Experience with master data management; preferably with Power BI report creation know how
  • Exceptionally detail oriented and process driven
  • Budget management experience
  • Partners exceptionally well with a wide range of colleagues and vendors, with cross-functional peers, vendor partners, a broad spectrum of career colleagues and senior leadership.

Education and Experience


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferable
  • 7-10 in finance and/or managing sales data and analytics. Supervisory experience preferred. Experience within the medical device industry a plus.

Salary Range

Alphatec Spine, Inc. complies with state and federal wage and hour laws and compensation depends upon candidate’s qualifications, education, skill set, years of experience, and internal equity. $150,000 to $170,000 Full-Time Annual Salary
