Foundation Risk Partners, one of the fastest growing insurance brokerage and consulting firm in the US, is adding a Employee Benefits Account Manager - Key Accounts to their team in Louisville, KY.

Position Summary:

The Account Manager is responsible for the servicing of multiple Employee Benefits client accounts (book of business).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Resolve client employee insurance issues, handle questions regarding benefits and assists in claims processing issues. Also assists with patient advocacy and pre-certifications.
  • Educate client employees on proper benefit utilization and guidance on most cost effective plan usage.
  • Maintain up-to-date client files & systems including adding & terminating employees’ coverages as needed.
  • Perform necessary steps (including timely follow-up) to help resolve client service or claim issues/inquiries and/or administrative concerns.
  • Interact with carriers and vendors on behalf of the client and the team to resolve insurance billing issues as they arise.
  • Prepare and review employee education and communication materials (i.e. Benefit Guides) participating (whenever appropriate) in client meetings/presentations.
  • Assist in the coordination & participate in Open Enrollment activities (includes conducting meetings) as needed.
  • Coordinate the setup of EDI feeds between the clients’ benefits administration platform and the insurance carriers.
  • As part of the client life-cycle (on-boarding, ongoing support and renewal), assist/support the Account Management Team for all lines of coverage by:
  • Gathering all necessary data to fulfill our obligations (including the outreach to carriers and client to secure information)
  • Supporting the team with the preparation, analysis and delivery of materials that makeup the deliverable (i.e. exhibits, reports and presentations)
  • Completing/fulfilling assigned implementation tasks associated with client related projects
  • Prepare or request standard and ad-hoc reports (as needed)

Qualifications:

  • Education - High School Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Experience – 3 years Employee Benefits Account Management experience
  • Licensure/Certification – State Specific Resident Life & Health License is required
  • Regulatory and compliance related matters (including healthcare reform)
  • Very comfortable with numbers
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Publisher
  • Ability to quickly learn new skills
  • Comfortable working independently as well as in a team environment
  • Ability to establish relationships
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and demonstrate composure/resilience under pressure - Comfortable switching between clients and tasks to meet deadlines
  • Strong understanding of insurance and healthcare
