Job Title: Store Supervisor

Reports to: Retail Operations

Position Information: Retail Store Leader work on site at a shop to oversee employee activities and handle the administrative and managerial duties of running a store. They make sure that their location is stocked with the correct amount of merchandise and adjust the store layout to display in-demand items. Retail Store Managers develop strategies to meet sales targets and plan promotions to attract business.

Retail Store Leaders: Are the forefront of the Company with our customers and the sales force, therefore they must ensure that Company Mission, Culture and Core values are adhere to and followed by all. They also evaluate their employees and mentor them to improve their retail skills, addressing issues with staff and planning professional development opportunities and company policies for employee behavior. Another role of the Retail Store Leader is to provide customer service and interact with customers who have an issue or need high-level support with a purchase or return.

Position Responsibilities:

• Achieves financial objectives by ensuring daily, weekly and monthly budgets are met, payroll expenditures, and analyzing variances.
• Completes store operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees.
• Maintains store staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
• Promotes optimum staff performance by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees.
• Achieves financial objectives by ensuring daily, weekly and monthly budgets are met, payroll expenditures, and analyzing variances.
• Identifies current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with potential and actual customers to understand service requirements, in addition to having and open line of communication with the Purchasing team.
• Ensures availability of merchandise is presentable and always stock.
• Suggests pricing to Purchasing by reviewing merchandising activities, suggesting additional needed sales promotion, and clearance sales.
• Markets merchandise by studying advertising, sales promotion, and display plans.
• Secures merchandise by implementing security systems and measures.
• Protects employees and customers by providing a safe and clean store environment.
• Maintains the stability and reputation of the store by complying with legal requirements.
• Determines marketing strategy changes by reviewing operating and financial statements and departmental sales records.
• Leads operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program procedures.
• Ensures all processes are done with accuracy.

Store Manager Education Requirements and Experience Preferences

• Minimum of 2 years of retail management experience
