The Territory Sales Account Manager (TSM) works diligently to manage and increase the sales and profit generated in an assigned territory. The TSM will build business in their assigned territory by using various sales techniques, effectively managing assigned accounts, increasing sales to assigned accounts, and landing new accounts.

Education:

High School diploma or equivalent education and/or experience.

Experience:

Two or more years of similar sales experience preferred.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • TSMs must be able to drive to assigned and targeted accounts spread across an assigned territory that may cover a wide geographic area.
  • Maintain assigned accounts and target new accounts with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Target potential customers and assess opportunities for sales.
  • Cold call target accounts within assigned territories and establish needs.
  • Arrange meetings with potential customers and sell product offerings.
  • Develop a funnel (list of target accounts) within assigned territory.
  • Analyze competitor activities in assigned territory and assess the same for opportunities for business development.
  • Network with business in the territory and build relationships.
  • Attend relevant industry events, conferences, and training programs to build business opportunities or to develop skills for the same.
  • Chase sales leads from other members of the company.
  • Work closely with business development managers, team members, and supplier representatives in the interest of growing company business.
  • Develop strategies for targeting large/key accounts.
  • Stay up to date on industry news to identify opportunities for new business.
  • Standard auto liability insurance must be maintained at $100k/$300k/$100k coverage levels.
