Position Profile

Title: Homeowner Association Community Manager
Category: Full-Time; 40+ hours per week

Position Overview

Homeowners Association Management Company located in Camarillo seeking a full time Portfolio Manager to administer the daily affairs and oversee the maintenance of property and facilities at community associations in Ventura County.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Respond to telephone calls and emails from homeowners and board members.
• Prepare and monitor homeowner violation, architectural requests and other general correspondence.
• Facilitate other general membership mailings as necessary/directed (e.g., annual meetings, budgets, rule changes, special assessment notices, etc.).
• Make recommendations on all Association-related matters – compliance, maintenance, safety, security, governing policies, and legislative updates/
• Prepare and distribute Board Packages and supplemental material.
• Recommend and prepare draft/proposed rules and other policies.
• Assist Board in its duties to comply with the Association’s governing documents, civil code, and other legal requirements.
• Prepare bid specifications/general project scope and request for proposals in accordance with Board directives.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, individuals must be able to multitask on a daily basis and be available for night Board meetings.

Education and/or Experience

• Knowledge of Homeowner Association Management.
• Prior Homeowner Association Management preferred.
• Prior Commercial or Rental Management
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must be fluent and proficient in English; Bilingual is an asset.

Professional Designation preferred not required

• AMS, CMCA, PCAM from Community Associations Institute preferred
• CCAM from California Association of Community Managers preferred

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in the use of commonly used computer programs, web-based applications, and proprietary systems.
• Knowledge of Tops or Enumerate Association Software is an asset

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

• Work in a business-office environment.
• Work 45+ hour work week and attend evening meetings with Boards of Directors.
• May be required to work occasionally on Saturdays for Board training events.
• Perform property inspections by vehicle and on foot as needed.
• Employee may perform other duties as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
