SUMMARY: Sells products for manufacturer or distributor to Utility Customers by performing the following duties. Manages the service or sale of certain accounts. Estimates and analyzes records of present and past customers, trends and costs. Identifies and contacts potential new customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Works with manufacturer representatives to sell products through ESI.

• Travels throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders, or talks with customers by phone.

• Negotiates purchase terms with manufacturer representatives that are most beneficial to ESI and our customers.

• Manage special pricing agreements for customers.

• Displays or demonstrates product, using samples or catalog, and emphasizes salable features.

• Quotes prices and credit terms and prepares sales contracts for orders obtained.

• Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of own firm's production and delivery schedules.

• Prepares reports of business transactions and keeps expense accounts.

• Works with inside sales representatives to keep account activities and literature up to date.

• Enters new customer data and other sales data for current customers into computer database.

• Develops and maintains relationships with purchasing contacts.

• Investigates and resolves customer problems with deliveries.

• Track stock levels

NON ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ten plus years of experience in Electrical Distribution and/or Supply Chain Sales.

COMPUTER SKILLS: Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, general personal computer application and the Internet.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to perform mathematical functions.
