POSITION SUMMARY: E.B. Bradley is searching for an Outside Sales Representative (“OSR”) – Hard Surface Specialist located in Southern California. The Hard Surface Specialist is responsible for generating sales with existing customers within the assigned geographic territory. The Hard Surface Specialist will oversee and manage the promotion, growth, and service of Wilsonart hard surface products to commercial and residential hard surface fabricators in California and Nevada. The Sr. Hard Surface Specialist will all manage and promote the WAQ (Quartz), WASS (Solid Surface), WATS (Thinscape) and WAWW (Wetwall) products to multifamily housing contractors and fabricators, kitchen and bath dealers, commercial and residential fabricators, builder markets, retail spaces where quartz, solid surface, Thinscape and Wetwall products are being sold or displayed in both California and Nevada.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Conduct daily sales calls (Field, Phone, and Virtual) with multifamily housing contractors and fabricators, kitchen and bath dealers, commercial and residential fabricators, builder markets, and other to generate sales growth in the hard surface product lines of WAQ, WASS, WATS & WAWW.
  • Increase active purchasing customer count monthly.
  • Work with customers, specification reps, and OSR’s and provide forecast and anticipated demand reports to purchasing to secure inventory, reduce stockouts, and improve service position.
  • Conduct joint sales calls (Field, Phone, and Virtual) with OSR’s weekly and Specification Representatives quarterly or as needed.
  • Create in person and virtual presentations to promote Wilsonart products (WAQ, WASS, WATS, WAWW) that can be used for daily sales calls (OSR and HSS) and Specification Representatives.
  • Create and maintain a catalog/spreadsheet of all sampling devices and showroom displays in California & Nevada.
  • Responsible for set-up, installation, maintenance/updates and coordination of all new and existing sampling devices.
  • Coordinate and manage the sample inventory for WAQ, WASS, WATS, WAWW for California and Nevada.
  • Select, manage, and grow sales with target accounts and house accounts.
  • Attend New Product and Launch trainings with Vendor.
  • Training inside sales, outside sales, purchasing, marketing, and specifications on new products, updates, and launches.
  • Schedule and coordinate fabrication trainings and certification events for fabricators.
  • Create and maintain a catalog/spreadsheet of competitive products and pricing to elevate pricing strategies.
  • Attend sales meetings, vendor meetings, and project tracking meetings.
  • Daily reporting of activities via Spiro.
  • Assist and work with the Wilsonart sales and specification team members monthly on joint sales calls to fabricators, designers and specifiers as needed.
  • Update Wilsonart project tracking sheet and report out progress on monthly tracking meeting
  • Assist marketing department in developing flyers/promo items for WAQ, WASS, WATS, WAWW.
  • Maintain and oversee all National Accounts for Hard Surfaces, including but not limited to The Home Depot.
  • Keeping up to date on new products, services, procedures and tools by attending training and department meetings.
  • Support local branch organization and operation as needed with additional duties assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Preferred 3+ years in hard surfacing product sales and or fabrication
  • Preferred 3+ years of outside sales experience and/or specification sales experience with proven sales track record and high sales altitude within the builder or design industry.
  • Customer/client focus and effective communication skills.
  • Effective time management.
  • Problem solving/analysis and basic to complex math skills. Must be able to measure and calculate area, circumference, square feet, etc. Must be able to perform calculations to compute discounts, sales quotes,
  • Ability to be flexible and adjust to needs of customers as well as product availability.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and Virtual communication platforms such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, GoTo Meeting, Skype, and others.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) – college degree preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple to complex instructions, detailed correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple to detailed business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on one situations to employees and customers of the organization.

TRAVEL: This position requires frequent travel and prolonged sitting in car or office. Must be able to travel overnight on a monthly basis.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear and drive. This position is semi-active and requires sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching throughout day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. WORK ENVIRONMENT: This job operates within a diverse environment. Some work may be performed within a general office environment and/or within a manufacturing and warehouse environment. Work will also include extensive operation of an automobile.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
