Summary: The Sales Support Specialist will consistently provide a friendly, responsive customer experience from initial inquiry to order receipt to achieve our ambitious customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives. The Sales Support Specialist must be comfortable working with Inside Sales and Outside Sales as a team to promote the Company’s services and products. The Sales Support Specialist will be responsible for following leads to general purchase orders utilizing proactive outbound contact (calls, email, video, visits) to assigned and prospective customers, generating interest, qualifying prospects, creating bids and quotes, closing sales and updating information in the contact management program.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Persuasively pursue new business opportunities from current and prospective customers. Understand the customer needs and requirements and provide solutions to fulfill their needs. Continuously seek new customers
  • Earn increased sales by developing and cultivating strong relationships, identifying needs and providing solutions
  • Meet or exceed performance goals for sales, quotations, contact, etc. Support continuous improvement.
  • Organize presentation materials, gather engineering drawings, product literature, system manuals & instructions, and installation drawings.
  • Maintain customer lists (including contact names, emails, phone numbers and equipment details)
  • Quote Items from Hastings quotation system (MPC) and source items from new vendors as needed.
  • Communicate new items that need to be entered into system to eliminate write-ins on quotes.
  • Generate quotes and begin quotation based on immediate feedback from outside sales reps, post appointment
  • Order entry for all equipment and parts per assigned territory.
  • Schedule/Coordinate dates & times for outside sales site visits and presentations.
  • Co-host customers to the Technology Experience Center in person and online.
  • Partner with marketing on various customer outreach projects
  • Create submittals upon request for outside sales use.
  • Regularly communicate with sales team to manage current and new tasks to successful completion.
  • Partner with the sales team and lead manager to utilize external project data to identify new construction and renovation opportunities
  • Proactively contact new leads and existing customers for new constructions projects: For general invitations from contractors, review plans & specs to determine if there are any opportunities for the project, call listed architect/engineer to see if any product being called out and keep a record of architect & engineering firms that designed project for future calls or marketing
  • Following project award or completion: Ensure all warranty cards are filled out & sent (Ensure all agreement are signed and filed) Update the details in CRM on the product that has been installed for future reference Send out owner’s manuals for the product installed as well as any training information.
  • Maintain a positive, empathetic and professional attitude toward customers at all times. Listen to customer complaints courteously. Professionally attempt to resolve the conflict in an acceptable manner to the customer and the Company. Inform management of the situation promptly.
  • Generate sales opportunities by utilizing internal marketing programs and leads provided by our manufacturers.
  • Follow up on Quotes and ask for the purchase order
  • Understand and share the breadth of product & service offering, be able to utilize company systems
  • Attend and enthusiastically participate in sales meetings, training sessions and personal development.

Qualifications:

1. Associates degree and/or minimum of 3 years of Inside Sales experience preferred

2. Passion to take care of the customer

3. Able to successfully manage numerous projects simultaneously

4. Excellent verbal, written and analytical communication skills

a. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and Adobe Acrobat

5. Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy, highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks & deadlines

6. Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system experience desired – MS Dynamics preferred

7. Ability to problem solve with a sense of urgency

8. Knowledge of air moving equipment such as industrial fans and exhausters, pressure blowers and/or industrial filtration equipment preferred

9. Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) data entry experience desired – Microsoft Business Central preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
