They are a dedicated grower, shipper, packer, and importer of premium tropical roots, fruits, vegetables, and fresh herbs from the world's most exotic areas. They are passionate about creating the bridge that connects their fields with their valued customers.

We are currently helping them with an open position for a Retail Sales Executive to provide excellent customer service and meet sales quotas for business as a key member of their rapidly growing organization. This position acts as the face of the company by delivering outstanding customer service and building strong relationships. This role is responsible for selling products to all retailer’s establishments or individuals at place of business.

You will help identify client needs, present and answer questions about products and services and recommend solutions. A positive attitude and a desire to promptly resolve potential customer issues or complaints will make you successful in this role.

Job Responsibilities

  • Development and growth of new sales by increasing sales and maintaining existing accounts.
  • Proactively create opportunities for sales with new and existing customers.
  • Answer customers’ questions about specific products/services.
  • Conduct price and feature comparisons to facilitate purchasing.
  • Coordinate sales support team to provide excellent customer service (especially during peak times).
  • Stay up to date with new products/services.
  • Displays or demonstrates product, using samples or catalog, and emphasizes salable features.
  • Quotes prices and credit terms and prepares sales contracts for orders obtained.
  • Estimates date of delivery to the customer, based on knowledge of production and delivery schedules.
  • Prepares reports of business transactions and keeps expense accounts.
  • Closes sales by building rapport with potential accounts; explaining product and service capabilities; overcoming objections; preparing contracts.
  • Expands sales in existing accounts by introducing new products and services.
  • Provide accurate information on product features, pricing, and after-sales services.
  • Travels throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders or talks with customers or by phone.

Qualified applicants should possess the following:

  • Understanding of the retail sales process
  • Familiarity with consumer behavior principles
  • Knowledge of inventory stocking procedures
  • Basic math skills
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of building trusting relationships.
  • Ability to perform in fast-paced environments.
  • One to two years of related experience in food sales, or produce (fruits and vegetables)
  • High energy and enthusiastic
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects
  • Proven work experience as a Retail Sales Representative, Sales Associate or similar role

Experience:

A minimum of 2 years of experience in sales function. A minimum of 2 years of experience in food distribution.

Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
