[please apply online] As a Regional Sales Engineer, you will leverage your entrepreneurial skills and technical abilities to develop and drive sales strategies in the fast-paced and expanding fluid power market. Focusing on value added selling, you will deliver a positive buying experience to our broad customer base by training and supporting internal and external customers on Donaldson product categories. This is a key position on our Mobile Solutions Aftermarket team.

Ideally, candidates will be based near our Bloomington, MN headquarters, but we are open to remote candidates with the proper amount of experience.
Role Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with a supportive sales team to generate leads, follow-up on inquiries, and close sales opportunities
  • Manage your customer base by developing and executing sales strategies to achieve revenue targets
  • Identify and pursue potential customers in industries that utilize fluid power systems and bulk fluid applications
  • Effectively communicate and demonstrate the benefits of Donaldson hydraulic and bulk filtration products to potential customers
  • Follow market patterns to understand industry trends, customer challenges, opportunities, and competitor activities
  • Work with internal teams to develop filtration solutions and provide input for product development and improvement
  • Regularly interact with customers to address inquiries, resolve technical issues, and provide continued after-sales support
TRAVEL: Up to 50%
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of sales or sales support experience, directly with customers
  • 2+ years of technical support experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong mechanical or technical aptitude
  • Technical sales experience would be strongly preferred
  • Prior hydraulics experience would be ideal
  • Strong communication skills – written, verbal and interpersonal
  • Passionate about providing customers with solutions
  • Self-motivated/self-driven personality
  • Comfortable working with multiple decision-makers to drive proposals
  • Very comfortable presenter of technical and business material to both small and large groups at varying levels
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, sales tracking software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
