Summary: The Director of Sales directs and coordinates all Inside and Outside Sales Reps along with the activities associated with the sales of all products and services. They must manage daily operations, including employee training and development, contract negotiations and strategic initiatives. The Director of Sales must be able to provide exceptional customer service, as they are the face of the company’s sales team and responsible for the client’s overall satisfaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Develops the sales plan and strategy through support of the senior management team
- Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products.
- Will be the principal driving force in delivering the annual forecasted sales results for the company
- Works with senior management to maintain and actively manage product pricing and associated profit margins
- Confers with owners to review achievements and discuss required changes in goals or objectives resulting from status and conditions
- Develops, reviews, updates, and implements business strategic planning, including sales and new product development
- Create and present training programs for the sales organization in prospecting and effective account management.
- Increase sales in assigned territory while developing large customer base
- Prospecting and lead follow up daily with producing quotes
- Manage accounts through Microsoft CRM
- Utilize experienced resources to assist with complex sales
- Work closely with marketing on promotional items, trade shows
- Regularly communicate with sales team to manage current and new tasks to successful completion.
- Coordinate and deliver weekly sales meeting
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Sales Manager and Account Manager in related field
- Experience in planning and budgeting
- Strong analytical ability
- Knowledge of business process and functions (finance, HR, procurement, operations, etc.)
- Must have good knowledge of CRM, and social media
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field; MBA a plus
