What You Will Contribute:

Badger Meter is looking to hire a Technical Implementation Consultant, Associate! This is a Milwaukee-based position. This position will require 3-7 days of travel each month (1-2 times per month). The associate will travel with a senior-level consultant to customer sites anywhere in the US to shadow, learn and assist with product implementation, training, and/or product troubleshooting. The work will be on-site education software training and troubleshooting.
This Technical Implementation Consultant, Associate is responsible for supporting the Field Sales Support Specialist, to provide utility customer system deployments and improve the overall customer experience. This position supports the Sr. Field Sales Support representative to deliver initial hardware and software training, presales cellular coverage confirmation including field evaluations as needed and other special sales support projects and activities as required. This position requires detailed knowledge and understanding of Badger Meter’s utility hardware and software as well as the ability to prioritize and schedule pre and post sales support activities.
Main Job Duties:
  • Provides field hardware and software support for customers
  • Supports CCA team in completing Cellular Coverage Analysis
  • Supports Field Evaluation activity as needed
  • Supports field training for customers either onsite or using internet based methods
  • Configure Cloud based software on computers and network client machines
  • Support internal training and testing when new products or significant changes occur in existing products
  • Provides feedback to corporate training group on training activities
  • Provides feedback to Marketing and Technical Support for purposes of resolving customer issues
  • Assists Solution Architects with providing updated product and system training for Account Managers, Distribution field sales and independent distributors as requested
  • Remains proficient in utility hardware and software including how it compares to competitive offerings
  • Assists with return material authorizations for all equipment with direction from Regional Manager and Solution Architect
  • Responds to internal and external customer requests and questions in a timely manner
  • Communicates effectively to both internal and external customers
  • Conducts all activity in such a manner as to comply with all governmental requirements applicable to the sale of Badger Meter’s products
  • Supports sales plan objectives
  • Additional projects, tasks and/or assignments as assigned
Qualifications:
  • 0-3 years of experience in field technical support or training
  • Intermediate skill level in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint
  • Ability to travel up to 25-50%
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four year college preferred
