Summary:
Lead sales and marketing efforts. Determine and meet sales quotas and goals, create
sales plans, analyze data, and work within a team in accordance to the ARK vision,
mission and core values. This is a Task Force position and requires travel. Boots on the ground and very hands-ons.

Core Responsibilities Include:
▪ Meet or exceed set goals: activity, productivity (revenue consumption) and
booking goals
▪ Initiate and follow up on all leads for the hotel in all market segments/territory
through the brand, management company and other third-party resources
▪ Maintain and participate in an active sales solicitation program to include, direct
sales calls in the local market. May be required to travel to location, transport
materials and make presentations on short notice
▪ Monitor production of all top accounts and evaluate trends within your market
▪ Regularly contact existing accounts based on the tracing frequencies of the
trace system in the sales automation system
▪ Be familiar with all OTA sales policies and selling techniques with an emphasis on
maximizing Revenue per Available Room (RevPAR.)
▪ Have full working knowledge of sales automation system, including (but not
limited to) generating reports, entering business, blocking space and building
accounts
▪ Develop a full working knowledge of the operations of the hotel, including
Breakfast, Market Place, Guest Services and Housekeeping
▪ Conduct a professional, thorough site inspection of the hotel with clients,
exhibiting key amenities and benefits of the hotel and through site inspection of
group booked rooms prior to arrival.
▪ Approach all encounters with guests and team members in a friendly,
professional service-oriented manner
▪ Participate as a team player with other key leaders and demonstrate hospitable
behavior as a role model for all other team members
▪ Develop trackable sales leads and LNR Production
▪ Understand/Review hotel’s revenue forecasts, GOP, occupancy report and ADR
Goals.

Represents hotels professionally at Community Events.
▪ Respond to RFP’s in a timely, professional, and appropriate manner
▪ Work with Revenue Manager on quoting rates (Groups and LNR’s)

Requirements:
▪ Ability to understand and execute and support customer service standards and
▪ brand standards.
▪ Ability to work collaboratively with hotel service team in providing exceptional
customer service
▪ Superior guest and account relations skills
▪ Excellent telephone communication skills
▪ Strong overall sales skills and an ability to effectively negotiate and close business
▪ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
▪ Operational knowledge and/or appreciation of operational challenges
▪ Assertive at establishing new customer relationships
▪ Exhibits self–confidence, energy and enthusiasm
▪ Basic software knowledge (Microsoft Office, etc.)
▪ Valid driver’s license from the appropriate state
▪ Action Orientation to capitalize on opportunities to secure revenue and to
resolve problems independently
▪ Drive for Results demonstrated in achievement of individual and property goals
▪ Time Management skills to utilize available time effectively and to attend to a
broad range of activities
▪ Demonstrates Perseverance, pursuing objectives with energy, seldom giving up
before finishing, especially in the face of resistance or setbacks, and focusing on
