PSC is seeking a driven sales representative who is eager to develop a deep understanding of the products we distribute along with the steps that we take in the turn-key projects that we deliver. The
Outside Sales Representative will be focused on developing new business within an assigned territory as well as retaining and developing business with existing customers. We are looking for an individual that has excellent interpersonal skills and can use their sales background to turn leads into revenue.
Autonomy, drive, and desire to win are essential, as in time, this individual will largely control their own schedule and accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gain a deep understanding of the storage and material handling equipment industry, and the intricacies of each product offering that PSC distributes
  • Prospect, develop, and close new business with new and existing customers (seeking candidates to cover East Tennessee, North Alabama, Central Tennessee, West Tennessee, or Central Georgia)
  • Develop rapport with key stakeholders at major accounts
  • Regularly travel to perform site visits to determine customer needs and the optimal solutions to fulfill them
  • Obtain detailed information from site visits to develop drawings and concepts
  • Work with office staff and management to turn information from site visits into proposals
  • Maintain involvement on projects from time of PO to completion of installation
  • Communicate and report on upcoming schedule, primary leads, and key successes with management

Skills and Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree in Business or Engineering or equivalent work experience
  • Previous outside sales experience with industrial equipment is preferred
  • Strong professional communication and presentation skills
  • Willingness to learn and develop technical understanding of products
  • Persistence across the entire sales cycle (from prospecting to installation)
  • Effective at managing time and optimizing out of town trips
  • Experience with reporting to management on ongoing efforts and results
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office

Experience:

  • 2+ Years of Outside Sales Experience

Education:

  • Bachelor's (Preferred)
