Job Purpose:
The MDU Account Manager is responsible for acquiring new Video, Internet and Voice customers living in MDUs (multi- dwelling units). The successful specialist will work with Principals, Property Managers, and Leasing Agents in MDU to market communications services and packages to residential customers. The specialist will be responsible for developing and managing relationships with these parties This position requires an effective and creative communicator to build relationships with companies and key principals to gain sales access to potential new customers living in these properties.
Essential Functions:
Relationship Development:
- Set up Courtesy Accounts
- Obtain Exclusive, Non-Exclusive, Access Only, & Bulk Agreements at Multi Family Communities
- Assist with Network Transformation
- May implement leasing agent/resident program for all new ROE's and Marketing Agreements signed by MDU Communities
- Build and implement sales and training plans with property management companies to increase market share within company portfolio
- Organize onsite events at apartment complexes
- May distribute monthly and quarterly reports to Principals of partner real estate management companies tracking penetration and revenue share
Sales:
- If Leasing Agent/Resident Program in place, secure 50% of all new move'ins business for Leasing Agent/Resident Program on a monthly basis
- Assist in selling of new services (Local, LD, High Speed, and Video) for new move-ins
- Provide all collateral, promotional items and selling tools to all stakeholders
May Manage Leasing Agent/Resident Programs:
- Manage the sales process for the Leasing Agents (i.e., how to pitch our services)
- Communicate these offers to the Leasing Agents
- Manage and track key sales metrics
Education:
Four years of College resulting in a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
Relevant Work Experience:
3 to 5 years in related field
Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Experience managing relationships with Leasing Agents and Property Managers
- Sales experience in a competitive environment
- Telecommunications industry experience preferred
- Ethical, professional, sales person; motivated self-starter
- Superior interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational agility
- Superior listening skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Knowledge of direct and indirect selling techniques
- Excellent field presentation and communication skills
