THE OPPORTUNITY:

We are seeking a talented Senior Client Strategy and Growth Executive on the East Coast, to perform revenue-based selling of the full suite of organizational products and solutions for Network Access Clients. The incumbent will be heavily involved with defining the sales strategies for Co-op’s largest ($750M+) network access clients who are in the market looking for new business partners. Actions taken by the incumbent support the Sales Team consisting of Executive Management Team (EMT), Regional Sales Managers (RSM), Client Business Executives and Sales Engineers (SE). Additional responsibilities include ongoing strategy to internal partners and teams who service existing Co-op clients.

  • Specific goals of this role include:

  • Identify and create customized Co-op sales strategies through building key relationships with our Network Access clients who are Co-op prospects.

  • Perform diligence to understand prospects’ pain points and payment opportunities to generate Credit Union member centricity.

  • Work collaboratively with Regional Sales Managers on net new sales opportunities.

  • Work collaboratively with Sales Strategy Director to gather all clients as-is environment information.

  • Document and articulate key findings which will be jointly managed by the net new sales opportunity owners.

  • Build fast and deep prospect relationships that formulate into the top prospects viewing this individual as a trusted advisor.

  • Demonstrate a clear understanding on Credit, Debit and core payment processing platforms.

  • Be a solutions strategist and partner every step of the way in concert with the Executive Management Team, Regional Sales Managers, Client Business Executives and Sales Engineers to win the largest revenue generating business for Co-op.

  • Reflect, refine and customize on-going sales strategies based upon Network Access prospect experience.

WHAT YOU CAN LOOK FORWARD TO:

  • Exhibit proficient mastery of all Co-op products and technology solutions as well as infrastructure including but not limited to ATM/Debit Processing, Fraud, Core and Analytic tools, Shared Branching, Call Center Support, Digital, Credit Processing and add on services demonstrating technological advances and articulating product capabilities.

  • Understand and leverage competitive market intelligence to win business

  • Lead and conduct on-site diligence to uncover prospecting pain points and sales opportunities

  • Accompany Executive Management Team, Regional Sales Managers or Client Business Executives to prospect meetings to gather information about prospects business and identify pain points are critical to building Co-op sales strategies. Those demonstrated strategies may include follow-up briefings, meetings, presentations, and on-site diligence.

  • Act as trainer and mentor to provide expertise and on all network access new prospects. Serve as an educational resource and Subject Matter Expert (SME) on market strategy.

  • Gather and maintain competitive intelligence and use this knowledge to educate both clients and co-workers on where Co-op products fit into the competitive spectrum.

  • Evaluate and understand market and industry changes and significant events and report to Co-op Solutions management.

  • Demonstrate clear understanding and effective communication of how Co-op solutions relate and provide support as needed/requested from the product groups and business partners.

  • Participate in various meetings, conferences, and presentations as assigned and provide leadership when needed for preparation, review and/or delivery of formal presentations.

  • Learn to navigate the competitive landscape and to understand and articulate the Co-op value proposition.

  • Provide market Intelligence and feedback to the membership, product and marketing teams and business partners regarding evolving client needs and product direction/strategy.

  • Assess impact on organization and operational environment of new product initiatives

  • Leverage knowledge of strategic planning process

  • Maintain a high level of client satisfaction by serving as the primary point person for client escalation and resolution of issues for assigned portfolio.

  • Develop and expand C suite relationships for the purposes of growing platform sales.

  • Under the direction of the VP, Division Executive work to develop add-on sales and retention strategies.

  • Create proposals for renewals on an as-needed basis and present to clients.

  • Thoughtfully understand addressable market within territory. Create strategies to pursue net-new revenue opportunities. Work with Regional Sales Managers and provide platform referrals.

  • Cross-sell products and services by seeking out decision makers to assess their needs and making the appropriate recommendation based on the client’s processing method. Engage the Regional Sales Managers and Sales Engineers as needed.

  • Understand market changes and legislative issues that may impact client decisions.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • EFT Business Knowledge, Core, Payment Processing (Debit/Credit/Contact Center/ATM’s), Market Intelligence, Industry, Strategy

    Understanding and knowledge of financial services industry, preferably credit unions and payments industry.

  • Strong leadership and negotiation skills

  • Deep relationship building abilities that formulate into the top prospects viewing this individual as a trusted advisor.

  • Strong and effective presentation/demo skills over the phone and in-person

  • Strategic thinker with ability to adapt effectively to market changes.

  • Independent critical thinking skills with ability to proactively anticipate and problem solve.

  • Strong verbal reasoning skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Demonstrated drive, initiative and commitment in supporting attainment of sales revenue goals and objectives.

  • Ability to work independently as well as serve as an effective team leader.

  • Must possess excellent active listening skills and demonstrate critical perceptive abilities to understand each opportunity.

  • Ability to build relationships with every prospect persona – including decision makers and influencers.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CRM platforms and related internal tools .

  • Ability to travel 50-60%; must have vehicle, automobile insurance and valid driver’s license.

REQUIRED EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

  • Completion of high school or equivalent

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field plus 8+ years of payment processing, financial institution and client relationship experience, or equivalent training and/or experience.

For California, Colorado and New York Applicants: In accordance with the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the expected salary range for this position is between:

$96,500.00 - $126,000.00

Actual Pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
