Customer Service Representative facilitates the relationship between SAM and their clients. They are responsible for answering customer questions, providing product/services information and resolving any emerging problems that our customer accounts might face with accuracy and efficiency.

Essential Job Function:

1. Support the inside and outside sales team.

2. Provides support to sales, purchasing, operations and finance.

3. Build and maintain positive business relationship with customers by maintaining a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers at all times.

4. Responding promptly to customer inquiries.

5. Answering both general/specific customer questions about the company’s products/services.

6. Knowledgeable in using company’s ERP system for customer service responsibilities.

7. Processing sales and sample orders transactions.

8. Communicate order information to planning department and provide order acknowledgement to customer.

9. Keep customer informed of any shipment delay notifications or change order condition.

10. Issue quotations based on standard products price list.

11. Maintain backlog for sales and sample orders.

12. Processing any return of materials.

13. Resolving product/service issues, troubleshooting problems, and providing ongoing technical assistance to customers.

14. Communicate to Accounts Receivable information needed for invoicing.

15. Collect, analyze, coordinate and respond to customer feedback.

16. Track customer service and sales KPI’s and metrics.

17. Collect and manage leads coming into the company website.

18. Generate and distribute reports as needed.

19. Attend sale meetings and trade shows as required.

20. Other duties as assigned.

1. Strong communication skills, including active listening and clear articulation.

2. Ability to solve problems and alleviate conflicts or escalate tactfully.

3. Ability to multitask, manage time, and prioritize.

4. Able to work individually and as a team.

5. Excellent listening skills and an empathetic voice and manner.

6. Familiarity with all of the goods and services offered by the company.

7. Proficient in Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook).

8. Excellent interpersonal communication and listening ability.

Education:

• B.S. degree in Business, Management, or Engineering
• Preferred Qualifications: Sales experience and track record of meeting or exceed quotas.

U.S. Citizenship.
