Business Development Associate

We are currently looking for a Business Development Associate to be accountable for driving franchisee sales and profit, coaching for operational excellence, and enforcing brand standards by providing high-level business consulting expertise and advice to a defined group of franchisees. All activities and franchisee support are conducted through telephone, web-enabled platforms.


What you will do:

  • Provide value-added sales, marketing, operational, and technical support to a defined group of franchise owners over the phone/web format.
  • Answer questions and provide best practices to enable Franchise growth
  • Ensure exceptional customer experience for National Accounts and regional Customers by working internally with account management and sales teams.
  • Assist the BDC team in analyzing financial data such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow reviews, financial key performance indicators, and pricing strategies.
  • Drive revenue growth by developing regional customer target lists and marketing strategies for Franchisees, Regional Sales, or the BDC team.
  • Identify Franchise needs and opportunities to improve performance and growth by leveraging company operating systems or resources.
  • Drive adoption of the Franchisor systems’, software, and best practices in Franchisee business.
  • Facilitate learning and sharing of best practices in a web-based format.
  • Listen to identify and solve product, system, billing, and communication problem.
  • Serve as primary liaison for Franchisee renewals, collections, insurance, and royalties.
  • Provide action plans with timing to resolve any system noncompliance.
  • Assist leadership in managing regional initiatives and projects.
  • Provide support on escalated issues, gathering data assisting with market expansion and sales initiatives in assigned regions.
  • Assist with conventions and other events, including representing the brand, owning content, programming, scheduling, and other logistics.

  • Ability to travel up to 10%
  • Problem-solving skills using a multi-step approach.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience or combination; customer service and sales experience preferred.
  • Industry technical knowledge, including janitorial, floor resurfacing, and carpet cleaning preferred.
  • 5+ years in equivalent experience in a like role of business development.
