The Head of Sales focuses on managing sales opportunities in their assigned region, growing Fronius market shares, and promoting our company vision. The position works closely with a designated internal team to provide customers with the best solutions based on their needs. The Head of Sales reports to the Director of Perfect Welding.
Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Sustainable implementation of the Perfect Welding business unit strategy, sales, and service processes (VSP) in the specified VSP Teams
  • Implementing management decisions
  • Managing, coordinating, increasing sales performance, and controlling the specified VSP Teams
  • Profit responsibility for the specified VSP Teams
  • Carrying out regular team meetings and employee appraisals (including Sales Goals and Sales Team development)
  • Coordinating advanced training programs
  • Coaching, Training, Supporting Sales Processes and Methodology driven from Director of Sales
  • Financial, sales, investments, personnel, and marketing programs
  • Marketing in consultation with national marketing managers
  • Providing support to the VSP Teams in existing customer support and new customer acquisition activities (Presentation for Key Accounts, Customer Interaction Plans, Debriefing Sales Calls etc.)
  • Sales Opportunity support for VSP Sales Team (Joint Calls, Territory Development, Sales Blitz, Target Customer for focused Lines of Business)
  • Joint collaborations to pursue opportunities though indirect channel partners
  • Implementing specialist dealer qualification concepts (Hybrid Sales Channel, Integrator & OEM program)
  • Managerial responsibility (Wages, salaries, staff development, conflict management, employee selection, etc.) for employees of the specified VSP Teams
  • Responsible for enforcement and proper of use of the CRM system of VSP employees
  • Progress reports to Director of Sales
  • Promote and support the “Fronius Way” philosophy
Leadership Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Disciplinary responsible for all direct reports
  • A role model for all Fronius USA, LLC employees with respect to work ethics, team support, distinctive communication skills and workplace standard
  • Preparation of budgets and cost monitoring of assigned cost centers
  • Determine the necessary staffing needs of the cost center, including requesting additional personnel, conducting interviews, negotiating offer, and supporting on-boarding
  • Monitor employee attendance, initiate salary adjustments, conduct annual appraisals, and participate in corrective action plans to improve employee performance when necessary
  • Disciplinary reporting to national management, as needed
Requirements
  • Possess a valid passport, or has the ability to obtain and pay for a valid passport
  • Up to 50% Travel to any of the states within the region
  • Commercial or Technical Training
  • Experience in sales of investment goods
  • Management experience and training – business degree (knowledge of commercial management)
  • Executive training with focus in team leadership
  • Project management training
  • Strong knowledge of the welding industry
  • Strong marketing skills will be a significant asset
  • Excellent written, verbal, negotiation presentation and public speaking skills
  • Self-starter, self-motivated
  • Capable of working in a remote office, setting goals, objectives and successfully implementing plans without close supervision or direction
  • Ability to manage executive, mid-management, and technical decision makers within a single organization
  • Excellent time management skills required to manage a large and diverse range of customers (manufacturers, distributors, developers, etc.)
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Excellent telephone etiquette skills
  • Proficient in the use of internal and other resources for research, professional development, and communication
  • Provide new information to team members within Fronius USA
  • Represent Fronius USA professionally with the goal of long-term partnerships
