Now Hiring - Mechanical Engineer/Business Development Engineer in Woburn, MA

The position of business development engineer (mechanical engineer) is a unique opportunity for the right individual.

In this position the individual will be empowered to engineer and pursue their own product portfolio within the Greene Rubber engineered products group.

The position works strategically with our engineering management, sales, and marketing staff to identify industries, customers, and technologies to pursue.

The candidate will work directly with customers on development projects while they directly manage new product launch from design through validation and production.

The candidate will work with our engineering and manufacturing teams to identify new process technology and material science requirements to support future business opportunities and realize their implementation.

Requirements:

• A BS in Mechanical Engineering is required; MBA desired but not required.
• A successful candidate will be comfortable both participating in cross-functional teams as well as leading teams.
• Must be comfortable working independently with limited supervision and managing multiple projects concurrently.
• Experience working directly with customers at all levels of engagement, from production floor through top management.
• A willingness to travel domestically.
• 5 – 10 years of design and project management experience in the motion control, noise vibration and shock control or sealing systems industries.
• A general knowledge of rubber polymers is desired.
• A proven track record of successful product development is necessary.
