JOB DESCRIPTION:
We’re looking for a Shipping Coordinator / Sales Assistant to join our team to provide support to our
Sales Team and staff. You will be responsible for comfortably and professionally interacting with
Freight Forwarders, Customs, Shipping Companies, Management, customers, overseas vendors based in China, Taiwan and India. In addition, you may help with travel arrangements, Request for Quotes
(RFQ), Landed Costs, Customer Quotes, Shipping Samples, etc.

In this role, it will be crucial for you to have strong computer and communication skills, organization skills… both detail and customer oriented. This position requires an appropriate level of communication with clients and internal team members to better understand and mitigate any issues related to the customer, supply base, or shipping.

The ideal candidate will have previous shipping and customer service experience as well as office and or sales support experience. International and / or Domestic shipping / logistics experience is a plus.
Candidates must be organized and comfortable responding to emails, phone calls, etc. Extensive knowledge of Microsoft and Adobe Suites is a must.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with Freight Forwarders on pricing and scheduling shipments.
• Work with Custom Brokers to properly classify products.
• Work cross functionally within the company to communicate with staff to ensure customers’ successes.
• Create and maintain relationships with customers and supply base to better understand and achieve their needs.
• Manage all reporting on the status of customer accounts and shipping manifests.
• Responding to daily emails regarding programs clearly and in a timely manner.
• Provide Freight and customs costs.
• Providing the sales team with product / program Landed Cost (LC).
• Assisting sales team to create vendor Request for Quotes (RFQs) and customer quotes.
• Packaging and shipping boxes to multiple suppliers
• Coordinate shipping schedules and lanes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Proficient in Adobe Suites. (Acrobat / Photoshop)
• Experience in managing multiple priorities
• Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask with great follow-up skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Minimum of 3-year experience required
• Articulate and well accustomed to a client-facing role

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
