Business/Sales Development Representative (BDR/SDR)

  • Our Cincom CPQ product line is in need of a Business/Sales Development Representative. As a BDR/SDR, you will be the liaison between sales and marketing. Your role will be to generate leads and identify new business opportunities. Leads can come from anywhere (both outbound and inbound): cold emails, cold calls, networking, events, referrals, SEO, paid search, social media, software review sites, etc. This role contacts and develops relationships with potential customers, effectively turning cold leads into warm ones. This role also develops inbound leads The BDR/SDR will cultivate strong relationships with prospects, follow process, track leads, and move the right leads down the sales funnel at the right time. This roles is ultimately assisting in boosting sales and contributing to our long-term business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize cold email, cold calling, social selling, and networking as lead development to generate new business opportunities.
  • Engaging with potential buyers in identified business accounts to develop these leads into MQL (marketing qualified leads) with the goal of generating a sales pipeline for the rest of the team.
  • Developing leads from marketing campaigns as sales opportunities
  • Outbound prospecting to a targeted list of prospects
  • Present our company to potential clients
  • Identify client needs and suggest appropriate products/services
  • Customize product solutions to increase customer satisfaction
  • Build long-term trusting relationships with clients
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market
  • Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) clients and Account Executives

Travel: 0-25%

Key Requirements:

  • 1-3+ years sales in software or related field
  • Previous experience developing leads from marketing campaigns and meeting sales opportunities
  • Proven work experience as a Business Development Representative, Sales Account Executive or similar role
  • Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques (including cold calls)
  • Track record of achieving sales quotas
  • Experience with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce) and LinkedIn
  • Familiarity with MS Excel (analyzing spreadsheets and charts)
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics quotas
  • History of personal success
  • High standard of Ethics
  • Strong verbal communications, written and presentation skills
  • College degree in Business, Marketing or Sales preferred but not required
