TRAX Credit Union is looking for a Business Development Specialist to join their growing team in Tampa (who can travel throughout the Tampa Area)

Job Description:
This sales and development position grows membership from selected employer groups (SEGs) in their assigned territory, attends public relation and community events. The Business Development Specialist schedules in person or virtual meetings and develops relationships with assigned SEGs

Duties and Responsibilities:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned by management

  • Increases membership in designated area according to goals set. By developing relationships with existing and new company groups.
  • Works with new SEGs; enrolling SEG representative, educating the representative about their role and our program. Especially with core group, CSX; Rooms to Go and other large SEGs in territory.
  • Communicates regularly through letters, cards, calls, visits, and mailings.
  • Contacts, compiles, and manages lists of existing SEGs from a variety of sources and updates in Salesforce database.
  • Conducts presentations to existing SEGs.
  • Schedules meetings with CEO and SEG officials.
  • Demonstrates a high level of knowledge of credit union products and services and service charges. Actively cross-sells and additional products and services to members.
  • Prepares reports of sales activity (daily, weekly, monthly, and as requested) and provides to immediate supervisor.
  • Prioritizes day with the greatest level of need being the highest priority. Is accountable for time and uses time wisely.
  • Acquires new members upon request from existing groups to increase utilization of CU among member groups. Increases penetration of membership in all groups to 10% and continually increases utilization annually.
  • Audits and validates the number of employees for each company on reports and in Salesforce.
  • Maintains accurate record of current representatives at SEG companies and in Salesforce.
  • Is sales liaison to Branch Managers.
  • Responsible for always protecting the interests of the credit union.
  • Understands and regularly refreshes knowledge on consumer financial regulations.
  • Performs duties in compliance with current consumer financial regulations including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Experience:
  • 2-5 years of financial institution experience.
  • 5-7 years of related experience in business development or business-to-business sales.
  • 3 years of sales in person or over the phone
  • Bilingual (Spanish and English)
Education:
  • Bachelors Degree in Business.

Position Type/Expected hours of Work:
  • This is a full-time position of 40 hours weekly.
  • Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
  • May be required to work extended hours and weekend as job duties demand.
Travel:
  • Frequent travel is required for this position.
  • The employee must be able to operate a motor vehicle and travel for work activities.
Work Environment:
  • This job operates in an outside sales environment.
  • This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.

Compensation:
  • Salaried 55,000/yr-65,000/yr.
