General Position Description

The Business Developer - Account Executive is responsible for identifying and working with new organizations and companies in the Greater Cincinnati/ Tri State area to drive leads and enrollments for RetireMed and manage long term business partnerships.

The Business Developer – Account Executive is a full-time, professional role. It is an exempt position, with a base salary with bonus opportunities.

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Follow all Medicare, CMS and RetireMed compliance rules, procedures, security measures etc.
  • Maintain Ohio Insurance License
  • Meet or exceed outbound communication metrics to drive expected lead generation
  • Leverage existing professional network
  • Create detailed business plans to drive leads aimed at meeting RetireMed annual sales goals
  • Work with manager and members of Executive team to develop strategic partnerships
  • Negotiate financial arrangements with partnering organizations to facilitate RetireMed program enrollment and sales growth
  • Unearth new business opportunities through networking and developing long term partnerships
  • Present and demonstrate the unique value of RetireMed through in person events and webinars.
  • Stay current on the issues facing individuals nearing Medicare eligibility and become a recognized authority on Medicare and pre-Medicare health plans
  • Build long-lasting, mutually beneficial relationships with external contacts and internal departments to create a better customer experience
  • Effectively utilize CRM to document and track all account activity.
  • Serve as a RetireMed ambassador internally and externally, displaying our core values of integrity, family, teamwork, knowledge, and communication.
  • Support performance expectations to achieve One Team One Goal strategic plan.

Education, Skills and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field
  • 5+years of proven success in a sales capacity
  • Sales orientation with proven closing skills; prior experience is preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, presentation, and written skills
  • Ability to work independently and develop a book of business
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Accountability for achieving both quarterly sales targets and other business objectives
  • Strong professional verbal/written communication and phone skills
  • Dynamic people, relational and organizational skills
  • Professional demeanor, positive attitude and team player; embraces change
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, critical thinking and time management skills; ability to multi-task
  • Self-motivated and takes initiative appropriate for the role
  • Able to quickly learn and navigate CRM and other company tools and resources
