Top-rated Managed IT Services (MSP) provider looking for a Tier 3 Pre-Sales Support Engineer to join our expanding Columbus team. Must be able to provide onsite technical support in the Columbus area.

5+ years proven experience working in a helpdesk environment and client sites providing Tier 3 support in a fast-paced, multi-client, Managed IT Services Provider (MSP) is required. Advanced technical knowledge, trouble shooting skills, and interpersonal skills. Must be able to work well and quickly to address client issues quickly and efficiently.

The Tier 3 Pre-Sales Support Engineer must be able to assist in managing project tasks related to service delivery and assist in presales meetings providing deep technical knowledge of client infrastructure needs and/or improvements.

Should be tenacious and want to get the job done. Excellent initiative, customer service and communication skills. Ability to work individually and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

The Tier 3 Engineer will provide remote and onsite advanced technical support to clients. Serve as a trusted advisor to clients and react promptly to support requests with rapid resolution.

The Tier 3 Engineer will recommend alterations in design to improve quality of products and/or procedures and has extensive experience in reviewing, analyzing, diagnosing, resolving trouble issues, and participating in the ongoing review and improvement of customer environments.

The Tier 3 Engineer should have experience providing advanced technical support for desktops and laptops, printers, servers, software, and advanced networking utilizing remote access tools, chat and email support, telephone support, and onsite/field support.

Resolve hardware and software-related issues utilizing existing education, training, and experience as well as manufacturer knowledge bases, documented fixes, and other technical articles.

Provide prompt after-hours support to client emergencies involving hardware failure, outages, and other business critical events, when necessary and/or scheduled.

Experience with an RSM/PSA tool (ConnectWise preferred) to create and update service tickets documenting all correspondence, work performed, referenced resources, and resolution procedures.

Create, update, and maintain written documentation, key network and asset information securely and confidentially.

Able to successfully pass a background check and drug test.

Technical Skills preferred: O365, Azure, AD, Windows Server (2008 R2+), Window 7 and later, MS Office (2010+), Adobe Reader, Adobe Flash Player, Java Anti-malware, and Anti-virus software. Backup software including knowledge of Azure and retention policies (full, incremental, differential). Virtualization (Hyper-V, VMware). Cisco Routing and Switching, DNS, DHCP, Security, Wireless, TCP/IP, WAN, LAN, WLAN, IPSEC, VPN, NAT/PAT, MAPI, POP.

Knowledge of Citrix and SharePoint, Microsoft certifications and Cisco certifications, is a plus.

Salary: $75,000-90,000.00 per year DOE
