Our growing insurance brokerage has an opportunity for a detail-oriented team member with a minimum 5+ years large group and health account management experience within brokerage industry required. The applicant should display a positive and proactive attitude, strong organizational skills, exemplary customer service skills, and the ability to prioritize and multitask, and be well-spoken.

REQUIRED SKILLS/COMPETENCIES
- Deliver recommendations on new benefit offerings and communication strategies to existing clients and employees as needed, or accompany producer in making presentations
- Control and coordinate the implementation process of new business and renewals, including group meetings, enrollment, submission, and deliver of administrative materials
- Manage the renewal marketing process, coordinating with producer to develop proposals and recommendations
- Strong knowledge of Employee Benefits practices and ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with shifting priorities
- 5yrs+ mid to large group and health account management within brokerage industry required
- Ability to communicate complex rules to clients and employees to achieve understanding and facilitate decision making
- Comprehensive knowledge and training on the requirements of Health Care Reform
- Proficient in both fully funded and alternative funded (self-funded) programs
- Assist with obtaining reports and meet with clients regarding fully insured and self-funded claim reports, monthly or quarterly, as necessary
- Competent with the various calculators and tools designed for health care reform compliance decision assistance
- Ensure clients are up-to-date on compliance requirements (e.g. ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, SPDs, Form 5500s) through meetings, webinars, and other resources
- Maintain relationships with carrier representatives, staying abreast of new products, carrier procedural changes and market trends
- Attend seminars, classes and carrier meetings to keep abreast of new products available for clients, as opportunities occur
- Prepare, with assistance of producer and EB agency staff, Stewardship Report for appropriate clients, annually
- Liaise between client and carrier and between client and EB agency staff on escalated service issues and problem solving, assuring clients their concerns remain active until verifiably complete and confirmed
- Proactively perform regularly scheduled courtesy service calls to assigned accounts
- Facilitate, ” lunch ‘n learns” and participate in group meetings, industry seminars, and training programs
- Present and assist clients to implement wellness solutions, as necessary
- Provide administrative support on other tasks as they arise, such as assigned special projects, development of new ideas/services and other projects, as requested
- Become proficient in company’s CRM database, specifically log activities to document client meetings, carrier follow up, service issues, establish follow-up date and daily manage follow-up in CRM system
- Understand how L & H staff use the CRM system to look for information to assist clients
- Build and maintain relationships with key client contacts
- Outstanding verbal, written, organizational and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Maryland Health Insurance License
- Power user of 2010 Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook) Familiarity with CRM database such as Applied Systems, Epic, Tam or equivalent
