Job Summary

The Inside Sales Rep is responsible for providing a great customer experience from D-MAC. You will do this by asking questions, listening to the customers responses, identifying what criteria is most important to them, and assess any competition. You will close as many deals as possible with minimal discounting and ensure that we meet or exceed a customer’s expectations around convenience, speed, and accountability. Customers can buy the same product a number of places but they buy from D-MAC because we are easy to work with, friendly, and knowledgeable. Our top value-add from the customer perspective is that buying from D-MAC means their job won't be delayed. After receiving an order, you will keep tabs to make sure we get the customer what they need, when and where they need it.

Qualifications

Seeking a friendly, outgoing individual who is a good listener, asks thoughtful questions, is detail- oriented, organized, communicates well both in-person and on the phone, and enjoys closing deals.

Experience in either sales, customer service, or related customer-facing role, required. Must have a positive, enthusiastic attitude when speaking with customers, as well as working with team members.

Communication is clear and concise, leaving no doubt what you will do and what others expect. You are energized by helping someone solve a problem. Must be comfortable with geometry and working with calculations and tables used in both material specifications and pricing. Must have experience using MS Excel. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and will do whatever it takes to solve a customer’s problem.

Responsibilities

The Inside Sales Rep is accountable for the following:

  • Field incoming phone calls, emails, and web form submissions.
  • Gather as much information relevant to a customer’s use case by asking standard and case- specific questions.
  • Ask questions that will help determine if the customer is only interested in price, or if they are more concerned with timeliness, convenience, or avoiding delays.
  • Gather competitive information whenever possible, factor into the proposal, and share intel with the team.
  • Discuss opportunities with team mates around material specification, efficiency, price, and strategy needed to close a deal.
  • Get a verbal commitment or PO from the customer when providing the quote.
  • Coordinate with production and shipping to ensure the customer's requirements are met.
  • Provide feedback and ideas to teammates and to management team regarding ways to improve D-MAC’s ability to provide the best possible customer experience.
  • Establish a personal relationship with each customer and ask that they use your direct line.
  • Establish long-term relationships that foster repeat business and build customer loyalty.
  • Stay up to speed on current conditions impacting our customers and their businesses.
  • Make outbound calls to follow up with customers, check on customers who haven’t ordered in a while, or cold call.
  • May require occasional travel to meet with customers or attend tradeshows.
  • Other duties as defined by management.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
