We currently have an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Technical Sales Representative. This position focuses on providing excellent customer service, while helping our customers to solve their technical challenges.

Duties include:

  • Interacting extensively with customers, vendors, and other sales team members via phone, email, and in person.
  • Processing customer requests for quotation quickly and efficiently, as well as following up on order status, shipment and delivery of orders.
  • Working to maintain positive relationships with our existing customers, and to grow the business by building new customer relationships.
  • Reviewing customer’s requirements and assisting in the development of technical solutions.
  • Tracking existing building and expansion projects from pre-design through construction, in order to identify industrial sales opportunities.
  • Studying project plans and specifications, developing equipment lists for quoting, and preparing submittal drawing packets for customers.
  • Continuously learning and expanding knowledge of our products, as well as the product offerings of our competition.
  • Working to resolve customer's issues or problems in a manner consistent with the company's values and financial objectives.
  • Actively participating in company sales meetings, sharing knowledge and experiences with other members of the team.
  • Analyzing existing sales and business trends and helping to identify opportunities for new sales growth.
  • Performing sales presentations and training sessions.
  • Reporting results of sales efforts to management, as required.

Job Requirements

  • Education: Associate's degree (engineering/technical preferred), or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience: Minimum (2) years Technical Sales preferred.
  • Knowledge of industrial and commercial piping and components (valves, pumps, boilers, etc.) is a definite plus.
  • Preference given to a candidate with Commercial HVAC and/or Industrial Equipment Sales experience.
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint to effectively communicate with customers and sales team members. AutoCAD Inventor or Inform ERP System experience is also a plus.
  • Preference given to a candidate that possesses mechanical aptitude and shows an understanding of how mechanical components work together in a system.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
