Channel Sales Manager in Santa Fe Springs, CA
Swann Communications is seeking a Retail Channel Sales Manager for theAmericas to join the Team! This position can be in either of Swann’s Southern California Offices, Santa Fe Springs or Carlsbad.
Reporting to the Vice President of Sales the Americas Retail Channel Sales Manager will have the following responsibilities:
- Manage Retail Channel Product Portfolio, including strategic MSRP/MAP Pricing, and Promo Calendar, channel conflict avoidance, SKU rationalization.
- Provides market insights, voice of customer, competitive intel and partner route to market needs to Product Management.
- Lead new product launch planning and execution. Including financial analysis to deliver targeted sales and profitability goals. Works closely with HQ product development Team.
- Partners with Sales Team to develop account growth plans and reset proposals and channel expansion initiatives.
- Drive market, key category/product, and competitive analysis to develop data driven insights and action plans.
- Takes initiative to improve customer satisfaction. Identifies new channels/sales opportunities and openly shares business development information and opportunities with account team members.
- Leads priority key initiatives in region as agreed to advance the business and is accountable for the contributions of the Channel Team.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- In depth knowledge of Omni Retail Channel and electronics/ consumer product categories.
- Experienced in sales operations, sell-through analytics, and executive level customer engagement.
- Experienced reading, analyzing, and presenting technical product materials.
- Experience in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and extensive experience in development and delivery of presentation materials.
- The ability to independently plan, organize and prioritize multiple sales, project and performance objectives.
- Ability to make professional sales and business presentations both Face to Face, and in writing.
- The ability to develop sales and business plans with clearly define metrics to be achieved.
- Ability to work in a team environment, working against individual and shared objectives.
- The ability to accept tasks and work to resolve problems, when only broad and general guidelines exist.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 5+ years of eCommerce and brick and mortar Retail sales experience
- Product marketing and operations experience
