Now Hiring - Commercial Property Manager and Maintenance in Hilliard, OH

Morlan Properties, LLC is currently looking for a qualified individual to maintain commercial rental properties. Property Manager/Maintenance Technician will be responsible for our approximately 2 acres of property which is mostly parking lot and single story buildings (6 buildings with about 25-30 tenants), so it’s on the smaller/medium size level, consisting of offices, office/garage combos, and storage garages.

The workload is not that much, we just need someone who can be here full time in order to deal with things when they come up. General maintenance person or general contracting knowledge and skills would be a plus.

This posting is for a property manager and maintenance position, not an office manager position. You will be working more hands on with various projects around the lot and buildings than you would be working at a computer. Prefer a jack of all trades type maintenance person if possible, we can hire crews for various projects that fall outside of any skill sets, but would prefer to find someone who's generally knowledgeable in basic maintenance person type stuff if possible.

Responsibilities for Property Manager

• Lawn care maintenance, landscaping upkeep.
• Cleaning units when tenants leave and getting them back in shape to rent.

• Upkeep on the buildings and parking lot

• Scheduling and dealing with crews for repair/remodel when skills required are beyond your scope of capability
• Attending to tenant issues/dealing with tenants
• In the winter snow plowing and salting would be involved, company plow truck provided. This will involve some early mornings and long days depending on the weather but overtime is offered for these times.

• All tools, supplies, and anything else required for the job will be provided.
• Beneficial skills for this position would include but not limited to plumbing, electrical work, drywall, painting, carpentry, flooring, landscaping, general maintenance.

Requirements for Property Manager

• Available Monday - Friday 9am-5pm with a possibility for the occasional after hours emergency (very rare)
• Must be able to be bonded and insured (we will pay the cost but you must be eligible to be covered)
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test
• Must have valid driver's license

• During the winter when it snows you will be on-call for snow removal (that basically just means being able to come in around 6-6:30 a.m. to get the lot clear before all the tenants start showing up)
• 1+ years of commercial real estate property management experience is preferred but not a requirement.
• Excellent people skills with a positive attitude.
