This role works closely with the BioProduction Global Strategic Account Team group, division and corporate partners to ensure we are connecting our customers with Thermo Fisher Scientific services and capabilities to support their success, driving crucial initiatives to advance the Global Core Accounts internal programs with our most valuable customers.


A Day in the life:

  • Elevate engagement at strategic accounts.
  • Lead customer-specific projects to address key account needs/opportunities that strengthen our partnership and growth at the account.
  • Create new programs that support Core Account Teams objectives.
  • Align with project sponsors, cross-functional teams and project managers to plan/scope new initiatives.
  • Develop/report on customer-facing metrics based on feedback and needs. Coordinate/promote success of programs throughout the Commercial and relevant BPG teams via a Monthly Bulletin.
  • Work with divisions/business units to implement and refine key objectives that grow sales and market share of our products.
  • Ensure goals are achieved in areas including customer satisfaction, technical engagements, supply chain, Quality and team member performance.
  • Manage/monitor projects.
  • Understand the life sciences/BPG industry and market trends, as well as readily assimilate technical knowledge then translate into business opportunities.
  • Create Strategic Account Plans (for example, Miller Heiman - Gold Sheets) as part of standard work procedure.
  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert/mentor colleagues to expand reach and impact across accounts.
  • Engage ad hoc at accounts where high expertise is needed to resolve nuanced account issues.
  • Lead/partner with team members to ensure memorialization of processes/best practices.
  • Leverage Partnership Health Survey findings to identify potential areas of operational/performance improvement and play a leadership role in coordinating and tracking resulting projects/activities.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required (BA and/or Life Sciences preferred). Advanced scientific degree/MBA preferred.
  • 8-10 years in a business management role, preferably program management.
  • Exceptional leadership, time management, facilitation and organizational skills.
  • Ability to influence, negotiate and operate in a matrix environment.
  • Outstanding working knowledge of change management and performance evaluation processes.
  • Strong commercial orientation with a passion to understand, develop and refine sales processes to support teams in establishing productive internal and customer collaborations.
  • Robust project management skills with ability to effectively manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to interact professionally with diverse groups including VPs, directors, managers, subject matter experts, end-users.
  • Expert in crafting effective communication materials.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, verbal and written communication skills.

The salary range estimated for this position is $110,000 - $170,000 annually. This position will also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. Actual compensation will be confirmed in writing at the time of offer.
