You will be accountable for sales of Drive Products within Motion Business in Wauwatosa Wisconsin, driving sales volumes and margins. In this role, you will be working to grow ABB’s OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) market share through presale and demand generating activities that enable ABB’s sales network to convert new OEM customers and increase spend of existing OEMs. This customer facing role is one that is both challenging and rewarding, giving the successful candidate an opportunity to play a strategic role within a highly dynamic sales environment.

Your responsibilities

  • Presale activities: Quotation and proposal development using such tools as CBol (Common Business Online) and Drives configurator
  • Commercial terms review - assist outside sales team with customer specific T&C’s. Lead Risk Review process as necessary
  • Lead time requirements/logistics requirements. Lead qualification and nurturing. Work closely with Marketing team and MOEM Market Segment Manager
  • Fulfillment of presale commercial and technical documentation. Coordinate local/global commercial agreements
  • Demand generation activities at assigned OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) Accounts include: Maintaining customer relationships and ensuring customer loyalty through excellent customer service
  • Coordination of OEM marketing activities. Support outside sales team with the implementing of OEM account plans
  • Responsible for partner utilization of sales support systems (CBol, ABBNow, etc) for assigned OEMs
  • Working with multi-location and global OEM accounts (as assigned) to ensure consistent national support in a local area
  • Coordinate US MODP (Motion Drive Products) MOEM Hub activities including product customization cadence calls, global planning calls
  • Extensive use of SalesForce.com as our primary CRM (Customer Relationship Management) tool
  • Track execution of critical orders. Work closely with Operations, Customer Service, and the product management team to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and work rules and regulations

Your background

  • Bachelor’s degree with minimum of 5 or more of experience in industrial sales or support OR Associate degree with minimum of 7 or more of experience in industrial sales or support
  • Meet or exceed MODP ( Motion Drive Products) MOEM order targets for US.Lead OEM sales enablement activities for a network of 6 ABB Business Development Managers and 200 sales partners
  • Require travel upto 20 percent primarily within the local region
  • Understanding of customer needs, experience in customer interface and strong presentation skills with Social, networking and stress-tolerant, cultural sensitivity, flexibility e.g. traveling
  • Strong skills in Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft office platform
  • Familiar with CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software tool like SalesForce, ACT (Application Configuration Tool) or similar
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
