[please apply online] Donaldson Company Inc.’s Vehicle Electrification and Medical Device group is looking for a Sr Engineer to function as a technical lead within the Applications Engineering group. This role offers the opportunity to contribute in a very high-visibility, high-impact area of our business and be part of a dynamic, fast-paced and global engineering team.
Role responsibilities:
  • Self-directed and energetic candidate strongly interested in interacting with customers.
  • Act as an engineering project lead, mainly focused in automotive markets.
  • Own and coordinate the testing and validation of product designs to meet market and customer needs.
  • Understand key needs and implement product solutions for venting applications.
  • Support the NA sales team to provide technical support and ensure success of NA business opportunities.
  • Meet all customer deadlines and requirements while following a stage gated product launch process.
  • Communicate, present, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, internally and externally.
  • Collaborate with engineering and business team to propagate knowledge, voice of customer, and develop innovative solutions for our team and customers.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering - Mechanical Engineer Preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant engineering experience
  • Ability to independently lead projects within a collaborative environment
  • Proven experience with project management
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated use and understanding of Automotive or similar product/process/quality function tools (eg: APQP, FMEA, DVP&R, SPC, 8D, CAPA, PPAP)
  • New product development experience
  • Experience with presentation to key audiences
  • Proven experience working in a global engineering environment
  • Experience engineering plastic and elastomeric components
  • Prior experience mentoring technical personnel
Travel:
  • Ability to travel up to 10%
