Our ideal candidate will be responsible to lead a professional sales team consisting of 12– 15 revenue generating Inside Sales Account Managers that solicit business from multiple, different business segments in Extended Care. (i.e.- SNF, ALF, Equipment). Set clear productivity standards, contact objectives, and daily core business expectation to ensure attainment of revenue and gross profit results and customer retention goals. Measure, track, and report progress toward becoming a primary supplier within the assigned customer base as well as secure new business. Facilitate communication between the sales team and support departments. Identify areas that require improvement and clearly articulate the issues so as to receive corporate assistance. Provide accurate forecasts on a monthly basis. Hold sales team accountable for forecasting accuracy. Manage sales activity to grow assigned customer base and retain existing customers. Execute on initiatives, projects and programs to win new customers, and retain existing customers while expand GP%. Works directly with EC Director of Inside Sales, department shareholders and functional peer groups at all management levels. (Including EC executive leadership) to participate in helping to further develop road map for growth and future development of department. Interacts frequently with EC sales personnel, outside customers, and manufacturers. Interaction normally requires the ability to gain cooperation of others, conducting presentations of technical information concerning specific projects/schedules, etc. Provides direct supervision to exempt employees and/or skilled nonexempt employees. Ability to make decisions for their department, establish and approve pricing and take calculated business appropriate risk.

The Inside Sales Manager is also responsible for; but, not limited to:
  • Ability to lead a team, recruit, manage, mentor, develop new and existing sales Account reps
  • Positive influence, company advocate and resilient problem-solver
  • Hold sales reps and accountable and hold reps accountable for their performance
  • Involved in EC planning process, goal setting and account alignment
  • Provide monthly update on sales activity and performance
  • Reduce and remove obstacles in the sales process
  • Establish and maintain vendor and supplier relationships
  • Generate and follow through on programs and promotions to increase Sales and GP%
  • Prepares and review sales team’s activity, forecast, and trend results
  • Provide monthly update on sales activity and performance

Minimum Job Qualifications:

Education/Training

4 year college degree preferred

8 years inside sales experience preferred

5 years successful inside sales track record

2 years sales supervisory experience

Business Experience:

Experience establishing a new department/team

Ability to manage and measure by analytics

Finance/ROI knowledge

Experience establishing pricing

Specialized Knowledge/Skills:

Medical experience

Distribution experience

Public speaking/Presentation skills

Proficiency utilizing Salesforce.com CRM

Microsoft Office experience

Working knowledge of Excel

Richmond VA based - hybrid role

Our Total Target Cash (TTC) Pay Range for this position:

$62,600 - $104,300

Total Target Cash (TTC) is defined as base pay plus target incentive.
