We have an excellent career opportunity for a Business Development Manager in our Herndon, Virginia branch office to improve our brand recognition and help boost our financial growth.

The Business Development Managers focus will be hitting sales targets, building strategic relationships, improving the sales process, and driving new customers and clients to our business.

Reporting to the Regional Manager, the Business Development Manager will be expected to be a driven individual with a passion for selling and growing our business.

Responsibilities include

  • Developing, maintaining, and expanding business relationships with developers, property owners, engineers, and general contractors
  • Seek out and recommend new business ventures or ideas that will increase revenue
  • Foster and leverage positive relationships with local clients
  • Creating, presenting, or responding to proposals for specific customer requirements, including RFP's and industry-specific solutions
  • Coordinate with sales teams to develop proposals
  • Ability to coordinate and organize networking events
  • Gather useful information from customer and competitor data
  • Make and give presentations to prospective clients and internal executives
  • Track, identify and add qualified prospects to sales pipeline
  • Conduct ongoing market research relative to the landscaping and construction industries
  • Effectively collaborate with sales, marketing, and design teams to close deals

Successful candidates must meet the following criteria for this exciting opportunity:

  • Bachelor's Degree or 5 years+ of sales outside sales experience building relationships and expanding a client base in the commercial construction market selling products/services to property management companies, asset managers, building owners, architects, developers, engineering firms, and general contracting firms.
  • Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal
  • The candidate should have strong knowledge and relationships in the construction market.
  • Track record of success in meeting and exceeding sales goals
  • A dynamic personality that is results driven and thrives in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Self-starter personality with proven time management and attention to detail
