Job Title: Sales Solutions Architect

Introduction:

The Pre-sales Solution Architect is responsible for driving the consultative sales solutioning of Toshiba Software, Hardware, and Services Product Portfolio to provide clients a holistic product offering, with emphasis on the new Elera, Microservices based retail platform. The ideal candidate will have deep subject matter expertise in retail and store-based solutions, along with operational business knowledge in solving problems related to their assigned area/accounts. Candidates should also be versed in common enterprise/cloud architectural solutions and related technologies. He/she will work with a multi-functional team, to discover and solve their business requirements and collaborate on developing, promoting, and selling a targeted solution that meets their needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide SME (subject matter expertise) in the Toshiba Solution portfolio, in conjunction with other members of the Sales team, to serve our retail clients and prospects.
  • Help to build/execute tactical and strategic consultative sales plans with the team for prospective new clients to achieve the revenue targets (quota) as directed by the Business.
  • Develop, present, and demonstrate Toshiba solutions with the Sales team in group meetings emphasizing salable features such as company vision, strategy, product/systems architecture, flexibility of design. Provide process re-engineering opportunities using company assets.
  • Responsible for achieving the revenue, profit, and product objectives assigned primarily to specific accounts and in support of the North America Region.
  • Provide feedback and consultation to the development organization to help facilitate product defects and resolution. Participates in the “Voice of Customer Satisfaction” in problem resolution.
  • Provide input and consultation into the Product Development Organization with “Voice of Customer” requirements, enhancements, solutioning, etc.
  • Maintain constant awareness of markets, competitor activities and problems within the industry, recognize developing trends, and make appropriate strategic and tactical sales/marketing/program recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Respond to customers RFP/RFI Requests in a timely and professional manner to facilitate success.
  • Maintain up to date and accurate expense plans, sales activity tracking and related databases.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent retail experience.
  • 5 years of Solution Architecture expertise related to the retail enterprise, with an emphasis on store-based software solutions including POS, payments solutions, inventory, back office, loyalty, mobile shopping, ecommerce, and other systems that make up the retail enterprise.
  • Experience in architecting and implementing these solutions – encompassing support, installation services/ systems Integration, and maintenance.
  • Recognized cloud / enterprise / data infrastructure & deployment expertise - including experience with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform, etc.
  • Microservices using container technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, and Mesosphere
  • Extensive experience with large scale, distributed, highly available, fault-tolerant, multi-tier software/hardware applications.
  • Infrastructure technologies such as Containers, Virtual Machines, Databases, Networking
  • DevOps concepts, CI/CD, automated testing
  • Ability to whiteboard solutions interactively with clients/ prospects and develop targeted software solutions.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage and win the confidence of C-Level executives.
