Summary - Under the direction of the Regional Sales Manager, the District Sales Manager directs, coordinates and supervises the sales activities of a defined territory with a selective distribution channel as well as end user markets and the local engineering community controlling specifications.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Assists with developing an adequate distribution network and coordinates related functions such as market research, promotion of brands, training of users, application engineering, distribution and service.
  • Prepares reports for management regarding local activities and market influences.
  • Recommends and assists with the development of sales policies and methods, advertising and promotional ideas, forecasts, quotas, budgets, etc.

Other duties may be assigned.

Education and/or Experience - Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; one to two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
