Manufacturing Truck Sales Support in Sioux Falls, SD

The Heiman Truck Sales Support is responsible for assisting the Sales team in preparing apparatus specification quotes, reviewing sold apparatus files, and preparing pre-production documents
Here’s what you’ll do:
- Prepare specifications and pricing estimates for various product lines including Wildland, Quick Attacks, WaterKing Tankers, refurbishes or other products as required.
- Assist customers and company sales team with questions regarding product specifications, parts sales, and repair orders.
- Assist with ordering, correcting, and editing all truck orders
- Prepare parts order forms necessary for production after the sale of the truck
- Assist with scheduling deliveries for completed Heiman Fire Trucks
- Assist with in-house truck deliveries for Heiman trucks when needed
- Prepare User Manuals for Heiman trucks
- Assist with answering and directing incoming calls
- Participate in company meetings, initiatives as appropriate
- Offer information and advice to sales staff and/or department for effective and efficient truck building aspects
- Represent the company to the community in a positive manner, consistent with its marketing and customer goals
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Purchasing or related field preferred
- Three-five years’ related work experience preferred
- Ability to proactively solve problems while analyzing possible solutions
- Strong mathematical skills and mechanical aptitude needed
- Self-starter with good time management and organizational skills
- Able to influence other and manage conflict
- Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written and listening skills
- A team player, working together with internal and external customers, providing insight when needed and able to be flexible when goals or outcomes differ
- Detailed oriented, professional attitude, reliable
- Computer skills with knowledge of navigating online search engines and websites. Proficient with Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills. Basic knowledge with other office applications and equipment
Physical Requirements
This job generally operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to site, stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. This position occasionally works in an industrial environment and may be exposed to dust, fumes, hazardous chemicals, and loud noises. The employee may occasionally walk on uneven terrain; life 50+ lbs.
Working Hours
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Thursday, with occasional Fridays.
