Job Overview

This role has 2 distinct areas of focus:

Distressed Sales: Product that has gone distressed (less shelf life remains than is guaranteed to our customers) still has value and can be sold through distressed partners. Will manage relationships with our distressed partners and will expand/retract the partnerships as warranted to adopt to the changing needs of our business. Will execute the process to sell distressed inventories to our distressed partners, maximizing revenue recovery. Product that cannot be sold will be donated to approved donation channels. Will have complete oversight of the sales and donations of distressed product. The key performance indicator for the DS/CSA role will be percent of revenue recovered (Distressed Revenues / Total Distressed Revenue Potential).

Support Analyst: Will serve as the lead analyst supporting the Customer Service team. Will provide weekly reports on Corporate service levels as well as weekly/monthly and ad hoc reports for customer specific requests from sales. Additionally, will work with the Customer Service management team to develop and manage a scorecard to measure the effectiveness and value creation of the Customer Service team collectively and individually.

Will utilize customer service/sales skills to manage our distressed partners (customers) as well as significant analytical capabilities to create and distribute key reports timely and consistently. Knowledge and thorough understanding of the customer order life cycle is vital. Requires extensive knowledge of MS Excel and other analytical software packages (Tableau and/or PowerBI, for example). Works in a high profile, high customer contact area, requires a high level of organization and the ability to analyze information objectively.

Key Functions and Accountabilities for the Distressed Sales / Customer Support Analyst include:

  • Manage life cycle of distressed sales to customers. Escalating to supervision/management as appropriate.
  • Manage the appropriate number of distressed partners to ensure adequate outlets for the full portfolio of Hostess Brands’ products, while ensuring that no channel conflicts are created for standard channel customers.
  • Manage the execution of Donation requests, using distressed inventory to fill orders, while ensuring that corporate policies and budgets for donations are adhered to.
  • Scheduling, monitoring and tracking distressed product shipments from inception to final customer delivery.
  • Practice excellent customer and other applicable internal and external partner communications.
  • Analyzing service data and presenting in a manner to support decision making and to inform others about Hostess Brands’ service to our customers
  • Creating and analyzing customer service data in a manner to support decision making and to inform others about the value created by the customer service team.
  • Perform additional departmental tasks as needed to meet departmental goals

Skills and Experience:

  • 3-5 years professional experience in Supply Chain management required
  • Experience with analytical tools, including but not limited to, Excel, Tableau, PowerBI required
  • Experience utilizing an MRP/ERP system required; SAP experience preferred
  • Previous experience in Statistics, Data Mining, Data Science Tools and Techniques required.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the proven ability to communicate with all levels and functions including management, to include presentation skills.
  • Outstanding organizational skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize workload, and concurrently manage multiple projects.
  • Flexible team player who thrives in environments requiring ability to effectively prioritize and juggle multiple concurrent projects.
  • Customer relationship building and maintenance. Sales experience is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of common concepts, practices, and procedures within the manufacturing and supply chain/transportation industry desirable.
  • High level of analytical thinking and attention to detail.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, Statistics, Accounting, Finance, related field or related prior experience required
