In this role you will help achieve business growth by booking a full schedule for our craftsmen each day. This requires consistently engaging customers primarily through phone interactions to educate them about our value proposition and the exceptional customer service we provide. Another key responsibility is collaborating with our craftsmen to resolve customer, scheduling, and technology issues that arise on a daily basis. Other responsibilities include completion of various administrative tasks as assigned by the office manager or owner.

You will be provided on the job training, formal training, and resource guides to help you understand the responsibilities of the office as well as the ability to accurately estimate a wide variety of home repair projects. Matching the right craftsman for each project, problem solving with the team, completing tasks efficiently, and ensuring a positive customer service experience are the keys to success.

Job Responsibilities: The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Schedule management. Each member of the office staff works towards filling the Craftsmen’s schedules daily. If cancellations occur, it is the responsibility of the CSR to put another job in its place.
  • Customer Engagement. Each CSR needs to positively represent the company through professionalism and rapport building.
  • Job Intake. Must be able to ask detailed questions about the project for accurate time estimates and enabling the Craftsmen to complete the project to the customer’s satisfaction.
  • Multi-Tasking. Each CSR will be required to listen, write, and ask questions of the customer to understand the details of their requested project often simultaneously.
  • Data Entry. Each CSR will be responsible for keeping track of all customer leads and invoices daily. Other tasks will be assigned as needed.
  • Collaboration. Each member of the office staff will provide support to the Craftsmen as needed regarding customer questions, billing problems, etc.. Likewise, the office staff will need the support of the Craftsmen to better understand more complicated job requests.

Job Requirements:

Specific qualifications for the role include:

  • Minimum 2 year degree required; 4 year college degree preferred.
  • 2-4 years of customer service experience.
  • Strong computer skills. Position will require efficient data entry to keep up with call volume.
  • Sales skills. Candidate needs to enjoy educating customers about our value proposition and encouraging them to use our services.
  • Problem solving capability. Small businesses face new challenges daily. It is important for each team member to provide solutions versus simply reporting problems.
  • Efficient. Tasks need to be efficiently completed to keep up with call volume.
  • High energy. Candidate needs to thrive in a fast paced and dynamic work environment.
  • Organized and Detail Oriented. Candidate needs to be able to keep track of many different follow ups and tasks.
  • Excellent customer relationship skills. Candidate needs to enjoy consistently answering the phone and talking to various customers and Craftsmen on a daily basis.
  • Excellent written communication skills. Needs to be able to communicate and write down the details of each job to enable the Craftsman to complete the job to the customer’s satisfaction.
  • Team player. Must be able to collaborate, problem solve, take direction from management, and give direction to Craftsmen.
  • Eager for career growth. Candidate needs to be interested in career growth within the company. We are looking to promote from within to higher levels of responsibility once the candidate consistently demonstrates the required skills.
  • Experience working in similar industry preferred.
